The staff really made us feel welcome and looked after here from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I love fish and chip restaurants where the idea is to eat in. We sat out side to take advantage of the warm night. I chose the grilled barramundi with salad from the specials menu. I was able to choose a different salad from the original as it included an ingredient I wasn’t fond of however I wasn’t able to just have that one ingredient left out. Meaning they were flexible but the salads must have been pre made. That’s ok, although the feta in my Greek salad was a little soggy from sitting in the dressing. The barramundi was perfectly cooked, delicious and healthy. No batter or breading thank goodness. The salad was good too. My friend had salmon steak with salad and chip. He was very happy with it and so was I(I pinched some of his chips). But for me the stand out was the sweet potato chips. So yummy! And served wrapped in paper in a cool tin cup. I liked it here and I’ll be back to work my way through the menu.

First time here and loved it! Everything was really delicious without being super greasy. I had food envy of every plate I saw. Everything was piping hot, came out quickly and came in generous servings. Great value for money and great service by a younger waitstaff which was pleasantly surprising. Definitely recommend. Ps. LOVED the gurgling fish jugs!

This place is off the hook! No pun intended… seriously this joint is the jedi master of fish and chip joints. Massive servings, cooked very well, deserts to die for and service to match. They even have these cool gurgling fish water jugs that complete the experience. Will definitely be back soon! Thanks very much Tommy

What an amazing family dinner. We came here for my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect mix of quality and family friendly. The food was absolutely brilliant, with a wide range of fish and seafood options that takes Tommy Ruffs far beyond the typical fish and chip place. The salads and sides were as good as the main event, and of course the chips were just right. When it is crowded, be prepared for a wait. Our visit was a Saturday night around 6pm. It was not too long, but worth being prepared. Given we had been living within walking distance, I could not believe how long we had waited to try Tommy Ruffs. I imagine it will be come a more regular option in the future.

Very good fish and chip place. The décor is casual«boat-house style». The food is very much above most fish ‘n’ chip places out there. I’d definitely recommend it. The only downside is that it is ever so slightly more costly than I would like, not by much though. Not much else to say. If you’re in the area, you can’t do much better if you’re in the mood for casual seafood.
