Proteus Architects provide architecture and project management services throughout Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the Central Coast. Proteus Architects, founded by Sydney Architect Mark Gerstl, delivers elegant buildings of timeless qualities on time and to your budget.

With our extensive background in architecture and project management, we are uniquely suited to solve complex problems in the built environment. Our director has been directly responsible for the design and delivery of extremely high profile built challenges, from Sydney Olympics building works to complex hospitals and large commercial buildings and bespoke residential dwellings.

We are flexible in our delivery method, which enables us to service all types of projects from small projects such as apartment alterations and renovations, to extremely large and complex projects requiring specialist delivery systems.

History

Established in 2000.

Our owner and Director Mark Gerstl has over 25 years experience in the construction industry covering a wide range of architecture and project management roles. Having dual qualifications in Architecture and Project Management, he is able to provide clients many value-​added benefits to their projects. This level of experience within the design and building professions enables Proteus Architects to provide quality services to every project.

Business Owner

Mark Gerstl has over 25 years experience in the construction industry covering a wide range of architecture and project management roles. Having dual qualifications in Architecture and Project Management, he is able to provide clients many value-​added benefits to their projects. This level of experience within the design and building professions enables Proteus Architects to provide quality services to every project.

Mark Gerstl has been on many boards and building committees. He is also the treasurer for the executive committee for the Sydney East Architects (SEA), part of the RAIA. He has worked throughout NSW as well as in Victoria and QLD.
