Tucked away in an unassuming block of shops, Relish is a cute wee surprise of a place ideally situated if(like we were) you’re on a morning jaunt out to the coast. We arrived just prior to the morning rush so had our pick of seating — bear in mind that if you arrive later in the day, you may not find a table in the very popular courtyard. I ordered the pancakes — these were an extremely generous serving that I was unable to finish. My dining companion similarly struggled with the Big Breakfast, although in the interests of retaining his man card he managed to complete it. You are definitely getting more than what you pay for food-wise here. Service is friendly enough; it was our server’s first day so there’s bound to be be room for improvement but overall, not bad. TL; DR? Generous servings of hearty food; service okay.

Tasty meals, the snapper with Caesar salad is the winner for me but for the price(at time of review $ 33) it’s quite expensive for casual dining. The service can be relatively slow and it is quite noisy, but nice enough for an easy dinner. Parking can also be tricky, be cautious of the ¼ hr parks right out the front!

Brekkie, lunch and dinner are all great at Café Relish! Really friendly service, amazing super tasty fresh food & relaxing atmosphere. Can get a bit noisy inside but it also has a nice outdoor area in the back. Consistently great value for money over the years! It’s a family fav!

My Sunday — go to — breakfast place, I often get a one word text on a Sunday morning from a friend simply saying ‘Relish?’ — and it is very hard to say no to. This little café has been our consist breakfast place for years. It had been a while since I had visited Café Relish on a Sunday and nothing has changed, same familiar faces, great service, great food. I was there at 9am this morning so it was fairly quiet! There were plenty of tables to chose from, the good thing about Relish is the choice of seating, there is a back courtyard area, inside seating and street seating so depending on what you feel like there are a few options. It does get busy though as the morning moves on but in saying that I have never had to line up or been turned away. This morning I opted for the Kick-starter(and to be honest I rarely order anything else when I go here for breakfast) — the Kick-starter is a cook up of spinach, bacon, potatoes, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms with some chilli thrown in for good measure! It comes with two pieces of fresh grainy baked bread! My coffee this morning was steaming hot just the way I like it! My friend this morning surprised me and ordered the Relish Pancakes rather then the Kick-starter — brave move given the food envy that you usually get once a Kick-starter is put on the table and you have pancakes in front of you. Whilst I tend to stick to the same order, there are some great breakfast options and it would be difficult to not find something you like on the breakfast menu, Prices are good with our orders always being $ 20.00 or under each for breakfast and a coffee. In an area like Scarborough/Doubleview I find this to be very reasonable. If you haven’t been to Café Relish I would definitely put it on your must go to list. They also do an awesome dinner menu and I always find it challenging not to look at the dinner specials board which is proudly displayed in the middle of the café and convince myself I need to return for dinner that night.

A regular spot for our weekend breakfast. If u have a sweet tooth in the mornings you have to try the Relish Pancakes. Crispy around the edges, moist and fluffy centre. Would love to know their secret recipe, they’re a must try!

My partner and I have been going to Relish for years — it’s an amazing café with great service, byo, and delicious, well priced food! The only downside is that the menu doesn’t change very often, but they added more vegetarian options lately, and honestly the food is so good that if they took anything off the menu I’d be a bit devastated.

Café Relish is one of my favourite dinner spots in Perth’s Northern Suburbs. It has a very relaxed but funky vibe to the place both the staff and décor which makes it a lovely place to unwind after a long day’s work. The food is amazing here, I’ve tried a few things that have all been great, but my favourite would have to be the parmesan crusted Caesar. The deserts and coffees are great too. I’ve heard the breakfast is very good as well but haven’t yet tried it myself. The staff are very friendly and polite and the prices are good too, check this place out.

Come here for breakfast! They do very good eggs benedict or a yummy vegetarian brekkie. It has a very laid back vibe which is great for a relaxing breakfast. If you don’t have the time to have breakfast don’t panic because they do super lunches at the weekends and dinners all week. There are plenty of restaurants in Scarborough but this little gem serves up fresh seasonal produce and fast with a smile.
