Brilliant price for the product you get. Cheap(happy hour) drinks available all weekdays. Food is prepared quickly, smells and tastes amazing. –edit. This is the tastiest pizza I’ve ever had. Other pizza should have to call itself something different.

Great lunch spot with lunch special on Mon/Tues for $ 15 pizza or pasta and beer. Pizza has fresh crust and is plenty to share. Very simple American style food.

Things have really improved at this bar within Southern Cross Station. A great happy hour 4 – 7, $ 5 beers and wines, a great selection of craft beers and beers on tap along wiht fine wines to sip whilst you await your next journey. Food selection is good, pizzas are amazing and service great, plenty of staff and a lot of smiles to boot. Comfy bar stools, good bathrooms that are 1000% cleaner than the station has to offer and great plasma to watch sport at the Spencer st end of bar. A must see venue for a bevvie to three.

Great food, great service, great bar for a drink or 10. Little annoyed that happy hour is no more. Try the garlic pizza with cheese.

Had a great experience at this place, the décor was nice, inside and out. The service was exceptional, and the food was fresh, nicely served and delicious. Prices are reasonable, the pizza is big enough to share between two. I had the pasta napolitana which was a choice well made by me.

If rating purely on train station eats this would be a four or a five, but that’s admittedly setting the bar pretty low when most train station grub just comprises of a chiko roll that has been sitting in a little kiosk for a scarily indeterminable amount of time. However, if waiting for a train — especially the V-lines which can run hours apart — this is about as good as it gets. Free wifi, quite a few tap beers and ciders at decent prices, sport on TV, and some decent food. Was there for a work lunch and we split 2 pizzas and a bowl of beer battered fries between four of us, and that(and a few beers) did the trick nicely for us all(and made for quite a cheap lunch out). Not sure I could do a whole pizza by myself but might give it a crack sometime.(Also interested to see if this place fills up before an Etihad footy game or if people ignore it for nearby pubs.) If it wasn’t close to work with decent bar prices I probably wouldn’t venture there. Unless I was waiting for the 4.16 to Traralgon, of course.

I struggled to give 3 or 4 stars. So, I’ve gone with 4. I’m yet to try the food so will adjust accordingly once I have. Sure, it’s not my go to bar, and I wouldn’t recommend out if town friends to go out of their way to try. However, if you’ve got bit if a wait for your train(coz it’s over 30 degrees outside and metro trains have shat them selfs, or it rained for 20 mins, and again metro can’t cope. Or… Ok I’ll get off metro bashing and back to the review) it’s a great place to grab a very reasonably priced drink. The house red and white is only $ 7 and will satisfy most. If you choose to sit«inside» and opposed to «outside»(which is still inside) you don’t get the feeling of being at a train station. Except of course the massive tv screen with train info. But at least you know when it’s safe to put down your drink and get back to the business of catching a train.

This used to be a regular of mine for after work drinks as they had fantastic happy hour prices which ran from 4 till 7 pm, perfect for after work. I organized a group to come here for drinks, raving about the happy hour, only to discover they had changed their hours and well their normal prices are not cheap for what you get. Safe to say my work friends no longer have faith in my happy hour choices due to this. Also not great for smokers as it is all under cover since it is inside southern cross station area. Since then I have noticed they tend to change their hours a lot, and given this is not the best bar in Melbourne I struggle to find reason to go here any more. Convenience to where I work is the only reason I will pop in every now and then. I think their current happy hour is 4 — 6pm.

I personally think the design of this bar could of been a little bit more well thought out, as the location is prime being the only bar inside southern cross station. I hear great word of mouth about their Pizza’s however still yet to try. I will come here every now and then for Happy Hour which is Mon-Fri 4 – 6 or possibly until 7, They have changed their happy hour here a few times. Its a decent place, Not good for the smokers tho, as it is all undercover of the southern cross station.
