Average Italian joint-​mainly Pizza. Not fantastic, not bad. Sometimes you just crave some slightly oily pizza, and some buttery garlic bread.

If I was a food critic this place wouldn’t rate highly. But I’m not and I actually enjoy it here.
Like most Melbournian’s I enjoy dining out, I love the cosmopolitan, late night hot spots and modern cafes. Melbourne Pizza Bar isn’t a hot spot and it isn’t modern. It’s a cosy little Italian restaurant that does it’s best to bring authenticity to the ambience here, right down to the red and white checkered table cloths.
Unfortunately the pizza’s aren’t quite as traditionally Italiano; but they’re nice enough to eat, the pasta’s and battered fish are surprisingly delicioso. Very affordable, cheap even and a great place to go if you’re in the city with young kids. Enough space to dine in, or if you’re living or staying close by take away or order a delivery! The tandoori gourmet pizza is a must try.

Customer Service: The pizza came on time, the delivery man was courteous and efficient, and the whole process went smoothly.
Food: I ordered their Chips w/​Mushroom Sauce and Salmon Pizza. You know you have me sold when I hate mushrooms, yet love the Chips w/​Mushroom Sauce. The Chips were really soft and delicious rather than chalky and stale (which is a dangerous trend for a lot of places I have tried around Melbourne). The Salmon Pizza was not bad at all. The dough was thick and it was very very filling!
I am going to make this my new favourite pizza delivery spot. They are quick and the food is consistently good. I highly recommend it.
Ways they can improve:
~ The pizza is good, but could be improved upon. It was not mouth-​wateringly delicious, but definitely hit the spot.
~ They could add a bit more sauce to their chips. Although the chips were delicious, sometimes they skimp a bit on sauce and then there is not enough flavour.
