Dianella Fish and Chips

When asking where you go for good fish and chips the owner said up the road

I have no idea how this place stays open. It defies logic. And about a hundred health and safety regulations.
Dianella Fish and Chips is one of the dingiest fish and chip places I’ve ever had the misfortune to visit. I’ve had some bad experiences with places like this before (as have we all) but this was by far some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten.
You expect grease when buying fish and chips. It’s kind of a given. But the chips seemed to be more oil than potato and the fish… Well, I’m not even sure it was fish. It was pretty indefinable.
If you live in Dianella and you feel like an easy take-​away, don’t bother trying here — there’s plenty of other places to eat that are kinder on your stomach.

If you want good fish and chips do not come here. We ordered the standard fish and chips and the batter on the fish taste like it had egg in it. The fish wasn’t fresh and was smelly, dry and old. It was that bad that we even phoned up and complained. The owner explained to us that if we wanted a good fish then were to ask for snapper and chips not the cheap stuff ??? I was gobsmacked I cant believe he was even admitting that his standard fish and chips was of inferior quality. The prices were the same as all the other chippies in the area and serve snapper as their standard. There is no way that I would come back here, in fact every time I drive past it looks empty.
