Fab pizzas — particularly the mushroom and truffle! Can take a while to receive so order early for home delivery!

This place is my go to for getting a great Gluten Free pizza delivered. So far, my favorite pizza is the Quattro, several kinds of cheeses, white base, with pine nuts and a dash of chili. It’s really stellar. Also tried out their Vegan pizza which had spicy fake meats and was also quite tasty. Their website for online ordering is also pretty great — it allows you to extensively modify the pizza using their huge list of toppings.

There’s quite a few mixed reviews for Mad Pizza but I have to say it was great. We originally wanted to go to Buffalo dining club but when we heard there was a 2 hour wait(gahhhh!!) we decided to go to Mad pizza instead. I’m very happy we did because we ended up having a lovely dinner. Firstly we ordered the 1.5 litre bottle of rose which was beautiful(we needed it for a long overdue girls dinner!). We ordered three pizzas to share — garlic prawn, mushroom and 4 cheese(with chilli which was a nice surprise) and they were delicious. The bases were thin and crispy, toppings plentiful and delicious. On top of that the staff were so so friendly and lovely, I really have to thank them or their wonderful service the whole night. Definitely worth a visit!

Love this place! We got a private room up the top of the stairs and shared three delicious pizzas between four of us — the lamb one rated highest followed by the pumpkin and balsamic and then the chicken which had a hit of spice. Didn’t have any drinks but the cocktail list looks Devine. Another darlinghurst fave.

First time I’ve been and I have to say its pretty damn tasty! Had the pepperoni which comes on an ultra thin crust pizza base with tomato and olives and opted in for chilli.(You can also include anchovies). Wash it down with an icy cold beer for the perfect finish. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

We made a reservation for 5 people, yet were seated in stuffy upstairs back room… Major disappointment, but they were understanding and confirmed our thought that waiting for a sidewalk table was a good idea. The service is friendly but minimal, but the pizza is wonderful.

Let’s get to the point. Say what you must but the service is exceptional. And given the lack of customer service in many Australian, we had an exceptional experience. Let’s start with the immediate service. We were kindly greeted and felt very welcomed. Will chatted with us and it was a fun environment. We order vodka tonics at the bar. Same as you’d expect anywhere else. But Will also gave us a shot of their liqueur that they make themselves. Delicious shot that was thick and tastes, vodka based. Also order a lunch small pizza. For the price it’s definitely value filled. It was a pepperoni pizza and tasted delicious. Meat wasn’t cheap, pretty hearty. The environment is fun, small restaurant as you’d expect on Victoria Street. Just wish we’d met such awesome customer service earlier. Absolutely recommend this place for travelers who are looking for a great meal, fast service and friendly staff!

If you have a choice between this one and the crown street one I vote the crown street one. I am usually a huge fan of the all you can eat pizza and salad but the Victoria street store just doesn’t do it as well as the crown street store. The first time at crown street, when we had the $ 25 all you can eat pizza and salad deal, it was really worth it. We got lots of different pizza, nicely crusted, most with meat and a few vegetarian, the salads were varied being a rocket/pumpkin one, a ceasar one, a greek and a tomato salad. We went home so satisfied. After having such a great time at the crown street store, I was soooo pumped for a friends birthday at the Victoria street store. Again we ordered the $ 25 deal, but this time we were sooooo disappointed. They took ages to bring the pizzas to us and then when 6 pizzas came 4⁄6 of them were all vegetarian. I mean some were good but we want meat not a lousy pumpkin pizza. They also only brought out 1 rocket leaf salad the whole time and we had to ask for different salads which then we got given another rocket salad and then some cut tomatoes. After an hour of cold pizzas, a waiter finally came and asked if we wanted more pizza, in that case we requested more meat pizzas. 30 minutes later, still hungry we had to chase our pizzas with the kitchen, finding out that they actually forgot to process our order. 20 minutes later our forgotten order came, the pizzas were meatier but the crust is way to thin, like eating reflex paper. So don’t go to this branch, service is lacking, atmosphere is weirdly constructed, the stairs are hard to walk on in heels and the pizza is not as good. The manager is nice though.

You must hate pizza if you think this place is any good. Gross flavorless crust. Gross flavorless sauce. Gross flavorless cheese in abundance. If you’re forced to come here stick with the pastas or at least get so many toppings on your pizza you can’t taste the bland sludge underneath. Though, I’m fairly certain someone at my table had raw onions on their pizza, so this trick might not even work. They have wine. Drink lots and lots of wine. Drink until you see double and your one pizza looks like two. Two negatives make a positive… right? I was never very good at math, but I rule at eating pizza. This place stinks! Masochists, come discover your new favorite pizzeria.

But who wouldn’t want a DJ playing in the background while dining on delicious food? Mad Pizza e Bar offers just that on Saturday nights, this simple but awesome diner packing a punch both with tasty pizza toppings and a pumping atmosphere to rival any club. The food is primarily Italian with a few mod oz twists here and there, but the star of their show is by far the super thin, crusty pizza bases — there are some fifteen flavours to choose from. The option to add truffle oil for an extra $ 4 to the ‘funghi’(along with wild mushrooms, feta, rocket leaves and rosemary) was tempting, but the ‘de mario’ with feta, roast pumpkin, pine nuts and red onion, scattered with fresh mint and chilli flakes won out in the end. Throw in the rocket and parmesan salad with fresh pear slices, walnuts and a seeded mustard dressing, plus a couple of glasses of wine, and we ended up with a total of about $ 20 per person. Not bad for dinner and a show.

Situated on the lively Victoria St, Mad Pizza is a great place for a reasonably priced dinner, and a bloody good pizza to boot! They also have a modest, yet decent wine list(majority of them by the glass too, which is a bonus), so you’ll have a good choice of liquids to wash down your tasty pizza with. The toppings are certainly generous, which won’t please the traditionalists who enjoy their’s thin, cripsy and with minimal additions to the tomato, cheese and basil, but for those of us who just enjoy a flavour bonanza, this place is great! On my last visit, I had the Tibia(shredded lamb shank, grilled eggplant, red onion, rocket and yoghurt dressing) — $ 19.20 for a large — which was an excellent choice(go me!) and was definitely enough to share thanks to the generous topping. The location is ideal for people watching to, and there’s not many of us who don’t enjoy a bit of people watching! There are a few seats inside, but if it’s a nice evening, try and get a place outside. All orders are placed at the bar, so don’t sit there and hope a waiter will come and take your order, because you’ll be waiting a while! But they bring it out to you, so that’s good — I hate juggling food due to a slight issue with clumsiness that comes with holding more than one plate of food. So as the summer months approach and casual, outdoor eating and drinking becomes appealing again, head to Mad Pizza e Bar!

I think the reason people love Darlinghurst for dinner so much is the cool deco of the restaurants. This pizza bar is set out so well and the food looks delicious to match. There is a selection of wines lining the walls and the place just makes you feel great. I must say the ambience in this pizza bar does definitely rock. The toppings are packed on, so although the price is about $ 5 more than a Pizza Hut — you get what you pay for. You can sit inside or out and they serve the pizza on elevated metal frames so it is easier to share across the table. The music is cool and upbeat and the staff seem friendly too. After a couple of slices you’ll be hearty and well fed — ready for your big night ahead at The Cross. I must say this shop is great for lighting so if you get a group together celebrating a birthday or farewell, the photos will look terrific.

Located in Darlinghurst, Mad Bar is a great place to have dinner and drinks before hitting up the clubs. They do an *excellent* pizza, I highly recommend the pepperoni. They also have a great DJ on most Thursday/Friday nights, so give him a wave, it’ll make his night. I’m sure it gets boring up there. The music is excellent, the food is delicious, and the crowd is fun, as is the crowd in most of King’s Cross. Enjoy!
