Clovelly has a variety of restaurants, some good and some mediocre, some overpriced and some reasonably so. Pizzavelly falls into my favourite category: very good food and reasonably priced. The pizzas themselves are first rate. Genuine flavours and tastes – I am particularly fond of the prosciutto. A medium pizza will run you $ 16, which is cheaper than many of the surrounding pizzerias. That, combined with the quality of ingredients and cooking, makes it the best deal in the Eastern Suburbs. Its only drawback is that they don’t deliver. I’ve not sampled some of their other mains, but they have surprisingly good homemade desserts. I am not a huge fan of tiramisu(my nonna would be turning in her grave to hear me say that), but there’s is the best I’ve ever had. Ever. I have also stopped by for the occasional quite palatable coffee – good on a cool afternoon. Highly recommend.

This is a fabulous little restaurant — probably only seats about 16 people. They do great takeaway too though. They make really nice pizzas and salads with fresh, quality ingredients. They also do pastas and other Italian food, but I haven’t got past the pizzas yet :-). They have a lovely, hospitable ambience. There’s always a constant stream of people picking up takeaway. Parking can be a bit problematic, but doesn’t usually affect me as I’m in walking distance :-) Worth trying!
