Get Gorgeous is a funny shop, they have a range of women’s clothing plus they have a beauty salon section that offers things like tanning, hair and make up. In theory, it is a good combination that conveniently provides almost everything you need for your school formal or special night out.
The staff are helpful and the clothing is reasonably nice. It is probably quite good for a special occasion but not so much for browsing or your everyday clothing.

Get Gorgeous seems to have struck a pretty winning formula for their market — team formal wear with beauty services and you have every high school girls answer to formal issues.
As a decidely non high school girl I’ve gotta say not a lot in here appealed to me, I prefer evening wear with more of a vintage slant, however I’m sure for the young lady just finding her style identity (and wanting to fit in) there’s an ample range here.
I just hope the beautician stays away from upstyles with barrel curls (yes, that was inflicted on me by my hairdresser for my first ever style. My formal was a nightmare if you can’t tell).

This place has quite an unusual concept. They combine women’s clothing, mostly for more formal occasions, with a beauty salon. When I visited it was right around that time of year when grade twelve students are preparing for their formal. Clearly there was one on that day; it was packed with teenage girls waiting for their turn in the beautician’s chair.
I can’t comment on the beauty salon aspect of the store, but I had a quick browse through the dresses and discovered there were a lot to choose from. I wish I’d known about this place before my formal. I didn’t particularly like the feel of the store, the large amount of brightly coloured satin dresses combined with the smell of hairspray reminded me too strongly of nerve-​wracking dance recitals as a child. However, I’m sure it’s an amazing place to have handy when you have an occasion to get ready for and need a bit of help.
