Leonardo’s Cafe and Deli

Clayfield is really quite the multicultural hub. You’ve got Italian, Indian, Japanese and Thai restaurants neighbouring each other. You’ll find Leonardo’s a couple of doors down from some tasty Japanese. What do I want? Sushi or a cannelloni and coffee? Both!
When it comes to Leonardo’s, I go straight to the italian sweets section first. I’ll be damned if I ever walk out of there WITHOUT a cannelloni in my hand. They’ve got quite the selection, and if you revere Italian food like I do, you’ll want to get your mits on some of these goods.
I’ll always back a place that does custom order sandwiches. Leonardo’s will charge you $ 8.50 for any meat base and 60c for vegetable fillings. It’s a bit steep, but the sandwiches are pretty big and you won’t be hungry at the end of it– if you get to the end of it, that is. For those of you who like to start the day late, you’ll appreciate the all day brekky they have on offer. It’s not outstanding, but again, it will fill you up.
Leonardo’s is a good place to come if you’re looking for a filling bite to eat, or of course, for a scrumptious Italian treat. There’s an outdoor seating area if you feel like hanging around a while too. You might just take the last bite of that cannelloni and decide you need another one. It happens, trust me.
