This is the kind of shop you want to stumble upon on a gloomy Saturday of unsuccessful shopping. Regardless of whether you buy something here or not, the Corner Store is bound to brighten up your day with its colourful, yet refined furniture and home-​wares. Everything is pretty in this store; it’s almost overwhelming to find so many lovely items in one space. Usually you have to hunt high and low to get your hands on at least one piece here. I love the chairs and commodes in particular, such beautiful, ornate detailing — and the lighting too is so vibrant and fun. Lots of vintage-​y prints and nostalgic styling, again not in an OTT way. It’s stately in a subtle way. Two thumbs up.
