Has changed name to Alder & Co with a slightly different focus but still serves the delicious cookies. Lots of space upstairs to spread out(and powerpoints too!).

Sweet treat heaven. I love the selection of tasty morsels at Cookie Dough. The coffee is strong yet smooth, the take away cups are cute as a button and perfect for photography and the prices are pretty decent for Claremont. I’ve tried the brownies and cookies(of course) and I’ll be back to try something savoury. Highly recommend the Brownie. Nutty and decadent. Mmm.

Their lemon bars were delicious, though verrry sweet so honestly one or two bites will likely be all you want. They were delicious though, had a perfectly baked crust. Mostly I’m just giving this place 5 stars because it was adorable. seafoam green painted walls, cookies on display in cool jars, plus the cookies all sounded scrumptious. Coconut Lime, Pear, Walnut Expresso, one called Big Elvis that had peanut butter and chocolate.(My type of cookie!) There was something for everyone, that’s for sure. And like I said the lemon bars were delish, and that’s coming from someone who didn’t think she liked lemon. Also the girl at the counter was very friendly and nice, and the other customers were all in happy spirits too. That’s just Australia for you though I guess– everyone is always in such a good mood!

Accidentally stumbled upon this gem and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff, a cosy, well designed interior with a lovely selection of counter cakes, sandwiches, a small menu, as well as jar upon jar of home made cookies. Flat White had good strength and stayed creamy until the end and was well priced. Worth the trip to Claremont simply for this trendy little spot, and I cannot wait to go back and sample the food.

Finally there is a non commercialised café in claremont proper that does not have over the top pricing. This quiet little café is well run by people who enjoy what they do and this shows in the product that they produce. They make their own cookies and pastries, which are hard to stop at just one. They are way to good. The only thing I would criticise is the fit out. While the layout is really effective the finishes on the walls are noticeably fake and could have been done far neater. All in all this is a place I would make the trip to Claremont to go to. Awesome, do try.
