Great service, and extremely cooperative with any dietary needs/requests. Vegan changes here are also quite enjoyable considering the menu. Fantastic view as well, along with the atmosphere!

Primo people watching location! We came here 2 days in a row to soak up some rays and have some beers. My brother insisted on this place because they had darker beers than some of the other bars — which for him is a must. The soup special of the day was pumpkin. I didn’t order it, because we were drinking our dinner, but if it was as tasty as it looked, I’d be sold. The hostesses were both very nice and we got really good service from our wait staff, so if we ever come back to Sydney, the pier and this restaurant in particular will be right where we head.

It’s my first day here in Sydney with my girlfriend. Really enjoyed walking around the opera house and stopped in Eastbank. My Yellow Tuna salad was nice. Girlfriend had this mango salad thing which was crazy delicious. I want to give this place more stars but the waiter didn’t seem so knowledgeable or that friendly. He was vague in his answers to questions relating to the dishes and was generally disinterested. No smile or anything.

This review is based on dinner on 14 Oct 2014. Food here is good!(Compared to a couple of years ago, was overpriced and just not very good.) Beetroot Salad — Fresh veggies, goat cheese, not-too-soft beets, hazelnuts. I love beets, so this was not disappointing at all. Tiger Prawn and Mango Salad — generous amount of large prawns, crunchy water-cress, huge juicy chunks of mango. Tangy dressing. I really enjoyed the mango. Antipasto — I was really happy with this one. Three different kinds of cured meats, some soft cheese(very mild, very creamy), a plate of olives, sundried tomatoes and a stack of toasted bread. Risotto with squid ink and octopus — This one is ok. Nothing fantastic. Huge chunks of octopus in the risotto though. Risotto with mushrooms — My FAVOURITE so far. Generous pieces of different mushrooms, perfect risotto rice, and truffles. A lot of truffles. I can still taste the truffles. Snapper fillet(on a bed of aubergine mash) — crispy crispy skin. I imagined Gordon Ramsey yelling in the kitchen at the back to some poor chef: «SKIN-SIDEDOWN! SKIN-SIDEDOWN! Crispy skin on the fillet makes the difference.

This place is great. My favourite Italian in Sydney, prices are reasonable but the food quality and the service is amazing. Great atmosphere for nice family dinner or date or even to come eat alone. I come here and always get the linguine special!

I had a terrible experience here during my stay in Sydney. I took my 7 year old cousin to lunch and since he was not comfortable eating from their menu, I had to buy him a sandwich from outside. When we were seated, I was confronted by the waitress saying that he cannot have his outside food there. when I tried to explain that he can’t eat their food, we were asked to leave. Unfortunately both the waitress and the manager were very rude and impatient. Not only they didn’t try to convince us to stay, but also were eager for us to leave ASAP. I was very disappointed and will not recommend them to anyone.

Great atmosphere for people watching and a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around the city. Food was solid. Drink a bit pricy but you pay for the ambiance.

I had an unexpectedly awesome time here. I was going to the Opera House and needed a place for dinner. We walked past this place and it seemed busy so we thought we would give it a go. I thought it would be expensive and ordinary. It was actually reasonable prices(For the Rocks, $ 30ish a main) and great food. I had the kangaroo on beetroot risotto(sounds do ocker) but it was wonderful. Cooked to perfection and the risotto was unique but tasty, rather than just odd Will definitely be back when in next in Sydney.

Maybe it’s just because I’m American and service is different in Australia, but this place was slower than a snail. It literally took over 30 minutes to pay our bill after asking for it. The french fries were delicious, that was by far my favorite part of the meal. Well, wait, second favorite. The best part was watching people try to fend off seagulls from the patio. Be sure to keep a plate over your fries or a fist ready to punch a seagull. I saw at least three people have parts of their meals taken away by ambitious seagulls. I suppose you could always sit inside to avoid the seagulls, but that’s no fun. :)

Great to see a restaurant with an extensive gluten free range, as well as happy to change most meals on the menu to suit people suffering from celiacs. Food was expensive, but really nice. Wine was quite expensive as well, the cheapest bottle being at over $ 55. You really are paying a premium for the view. My friend and I shared a trio of dips, and a pizza between the two of us. Add a bottle of wine and the bill was over $ 100, which seemed a little steep. Now, the service… W were seated outdoors when it had been raining less than half an hour ago, and rain clouds loomed. Thankfully it didn’t rain again but would have been nice to have been given the option of sitting indoors or outdoors. The waiter who seated us was attentive until we ordered. We ended up pouring our own wine from the bottle we bought, and throughout the meal the waiter in our section seemed more interested in flirting with a table of overseas female tourists, rather than doing his job. The bill took 25 minutes to arrive after requesting it, and having to request it twice as the first waiter we asked, was sitting with the table of girls exchanging phone numbers. With great food, especially for people with dietary requirements, great location and lovely views, I really wanted to rate this place higher, but the appalling service on the night has made me not want to return.

This was a hit and miss like many places in Australia. Sometimes you get good service but really bad food, and sometimes you get good food but really bad service. This one was a taste of two tales, people. The restaurant ambiance was infact amazing, right on the water overlooking the bridge and next to the opera house. The server, Renata, was however very bad. I substituted a chicken dish for vegetables and was charged for not only the full price of the chicken dish, but also an expensive side of veges. Where is the disconnect when someone wants to substitute for basic spaghetti and veges. In fact, it should cost the restaurant less. Regardless I felt cheated and over charged as Renata was not in her communicative moods today. The pizza was colder than the weather in Sydney. This was not a good experience at this Italian restaurant, but it seems to be buzzing because of the location. I don’t recommend coming here but if you are only order drinks because I don’t know how someone can screw up a drink order. I ended spending over 88 dollars and was charged 3 dollars per person for waiting fee. If you want a tip, then give me some service. I am not that demanding. Don’t charge me for what is known as a tip then have an extra space for more money. Renata, if it wasn’t for the good service by your Australian manager or the ambience, I would have gotten up and left. Regardless, this was not worth my money or time
