If you are looking for a cheap night out then head to the Chermside Bowls Club! On Saturday nights you can get unlimited games of barefoot bowls for only $ 8! They have three greens and there is always plenty of room. After a game of bowls head to the bistro for $ 2 tacos and burritos! I will say that it’s not the tastiest Mexican food I have had but for $ 2 it’s not too bad.
The taco shells are a little chewy and the filling lacks seasoning, you usually don’t notice with a few beers under your belt. The few times I have been here the bistro has been deserted. I can’t really comment on other meals because I have only ever been on taco night. The drinks are really cheap which is great!
I love barefoot bowls and I have played at a few clubs, sometimes the members can be a bit clicky and don’t dig newbies on their greens but at Chermside everyone is really friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend for your next social gathering.
