Nice coffee, usually make it pretty quick. But having been coming here for coffee quite a few times, there just never seems to be a familiar or welcoming face. The pastries are way overpriced and the whole place just has a kind of sad ‘big-​brother-​is-​watching’ atmosphere. I only really go for convenience cause it’s near work…

Their cake didn’t disappoint, their rendition of this classic had nothing wrong with it but however was not memorable.
The sponge was light and very consistent, the cream was cream and the soaked cherries were tipsy enough to have a small kick in them.

Consistently good coffee and pastries, with a spacious interior that doesn’t make you feel like you’re squeezed shoulder to shoulder with the next guy.
The bread and butter pudding is a treat (well, so is everything).
