We arrived at 9am for breakfast this morning(Thursday). There was ample parking outside and the café was bustling with people both seated and waiting for takeaway orders. Staff appeared immediately and remained both friendly and attentive throughout the time we were there. The café was aesthetically pleasing and had a great, friendly and«warming» vibe! We ordered the Mrs Pilgrim(I think that is what it was called). It was home made potato cakes, avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg on rocket with hollandaise. YUM! My only comment is that my poached egg was too watery on the inside for my liking. I understand this can happen when poaching — it just wasn’t my favourite! The rest of the meal was fantastic — hot on temperature(I can’t stand cold food) and tasty! Thanks — will be back!

Love this place. Coffee is the best in Chadstone Shopping Centre, and they’re not lying. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Always come here when we are in Chadstone.

Word of mouth has quickly brought Mr Pilgrim to my attention and being so close to home, a group of us ventured to visit this morning. Located close to Chadstone parking, it offers outdoor seating and indoor is spacious as well. The décor is a bit muddled up, I feel it is trying to be hipstery and rustic and some items feel a bit out of place. Interestingly, there is a shelf selling some canned/bottled goods, a bitcoin machine and a photo wall of doggies that visit the café. Food items: Spanish Baked eggs — overdone eggs are always a bit of a let down Mrs Pilgrim — featuring smoked salmon, potato rosti, rocket, avocado with hollandaise sauce Mr Pilgrim — featuring italian sausage, tomato, mushrooms, poached eggs and sourdough. This was enjoyable and I gobbled up the garlic mushrooms. Ploughman’s board — ham, salami, gherkins, bread, olives, prosciutto, cheese, tomato, eggplant morsel and relish. I was disappointed with this, there was 1 piece of hard prosciutto, cheese didn’t go very well with the other items, 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of salami. Drink items that stood out: Iced Coffee(espresso served in beaker) and Chai latte.

Decent suburban joint located within Chadstone shopping centre. Beautifully decorated space, roomy with lots of natural light spilling in through the glass windows. Rustic decoration is complemented well with some quirky features around the store. Blankets also provided for customers who prefer to dine outdoors. Staff was very friendly and greeted everyone cheerfully! There appears to be a wide variety of food options on the menu but I ordered only a latte. Milk was steamed a little too hot for my liking but coffee was ok. A shame because they’ve invested the big bucks for a La Mazzorco machine! Might give them another try next time I’m around, hopefully the coffee will be better then!
