The Burrito Bar has just opened up in Carseldine and they were doing a roaring Friday night trade. When we arrived there was Mexican music playing outside and we grabbed a table outside and gave our orders to a waitress with a tablet. Unfortunately a short time later the live singers arrived and the music was turned up so we couldn’t maintain a conversation. But the waitresses were happy for us to move to a table inside. We tried the Ultimate Mexican Burrito(combination of chicken and slow cooked beef), the Naked Burrito with slow cooked beef and a couple of Mexican sodas. Both meals were good but I found myself craving the brown rice, fresh coriander and jalapenos that come with my favourite Burrito Bowl from elsewhere. Being a brand new location it’s hard to judge them on just one visit. Maybe once they settle in and get into a groove the speed will improve and they will kick the flavour up a bit, so I’ll have to head back in a few months.
