I don’t get my haircut often — perhaps once every 6 months to a year. It does get quite expensive — haircut $ 50 and hair dye $ 80 and this doesn’t include treatment for damaged hair. Having great hair is not just about vanity, but is an expression of one’s identity. A haircut/​hair style can say so much about a person or allow a person to say so much about themselves.
However, having said that, I hate paying a lot of money to get my haircut and that’s why I don’t go often. I saw in the window: «$ 50 student haircut» and I hadn’t had a haircut in 6 months. So in I went to FB Salons — Lily, this edgy girl with short blonde/​silver hair was my stylist. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable, which really matters to me.
In the end, she layered my hair and gave me bangs or fringes, as Australians would say. She straightened my hair, which is normally wavy, and BAM… a whole new and simple look. I really liked having a fringe. I forgot how much I missed having one.
