There is nothing quite like pairs that complement one another. Peanut butter and jam. Coffee and Cake. Parma and Beer. And Café and Bookstore Teatime and Tales blends these last two perfectly. The window display is very bookstore-esque, tales arranged invitingly and on show. Beyond the first few centremetres one sees the café at work. Wooden chairs and the tragic but magical white cane furniture complemented by little teapot sugar et al. As the name states — full café includes hot and cold drinks and selection of cakes. The temptation to read a book while one enjoys is too much to bear, so I sneak a picture book of the shelf and flick through over my coffee. Most people here are careful not to damage the wares, and because if this the staff seem at ease with the idea. A foursome mum-and-bub combos could and do enjoy themselves for a coffee cake and chat, the vibe inside and out if very comforting and warm. A good in-between meal indeed.
