Small Screen DVD

They’re customers have been known to use the line «a very good selection of stuff I actually want to watch» and I would be one to agree.
The first time I went in I was more attracted to the peculiar signage on the pavement than the thought of movies and small screen cinema, but I’m glad I happened to have an hour or so free.
The organisation makes it easy to discover films you didn’t know were made by your favourite directors — and perhaps directors you didn’t know who made your favourite movies. This open layout it much more about discovery than any sort of elitist ‘only borrow from the most currently indie director right now’ and fear not, you will not be looked down upon for borrowing Twilight.

Small screen is the sort of DVD rental place you want to be near. It doesn’t have an agenda, it just celebrates good film (and music. While you’re here, you can rummage through their record collection).
The sort of clientele this place would frequent is more than likely the typical ‘cultured’ person, or someone who would often tell their friends how cultured they are. The sort of person who wants the option to be challenged by cinema, not just entertained.
This is where the wall of greats steps in. A nice categorizing system with a tongue in cheek display: the wall of directors. Where the films are organised according to which director made them, and a little cut-​outs of your director of choice (Godard, you minx).
However, Small Screen isn’t snobby; you can quite happily borrow the latest blockbuster and not worry about looking like you don’t know what bands are in at the moment.
