I went in to Carlingford Court for a quick lunch, and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the steak sandwich and chips, $ 14. I was really disappointed with the serving of chips(less than a small chips from KFC) — not that I ate them all, because they were extremely undercooked and the oil wasn’t drained at all. The steak sandwich would have been pretty good, but the steak was less cooked than I would like(red in the middle) and it seemed to have some kind of peppercorn coating, which didn’t really go with the bbq sauce. It was a good size though, really tall and with cheese. One other strange thing — sometimes tall sandwiches come with toothpicks in them, but instead of toothpicks, they had broken a bamboo skewer in half! Surely this could easily cause splinters to be lodged in the sandwich! Those bamboo skewers do not break cleanly. I felt like I didn’t get value for money, especially since this is really a food court setting. It’s bad when you are looking across at McDonald’s and wishing you ate there: S

Recent addition to Carlingford Court’s food court! Curious about this place, looked it up online when I got home and realised it was a franchise. Thought that might be a negative in terms of its coffee although online it says it keeps their coffee beans for only 21 days. Next time I was there, thought I’d give their coffee a try. Was pleased to find a piccolo latte was available. Found it to be a little weak — although it probably doesn’t help that I’d been drinking macchiatos for the last few weeks. Went again for brekkie with hubby yesterday and we had sour dough toast and banana bread. We enjoyed our coffees, hubby rated the macchaitto and felt it would be worth coming back. So we got the frequency card this time round! OK as an option if we want to go local.
