This place won me the Bawler Badge. The badge that is specifically designed for parents. The badge that makes you bawl when you realise your check-ins are getting significantly less debaucherous and more kid-friendly. And I’m not even a parent yet! C&F is a good solid café for if you live in or around Beecroft or like to be able to buy kid clothes with your big breakfast. The coffee is Gabriel brand, the ingredients are fresh and you’ll find all your old café favourites like BLAT, hotcakes and ricotta on fruit toast. Prices are pretty standard for the area, around $ 20 – 25 per person. Make no mistake, there will be kids so don’t go here if you’re the cantankerous type. There is a little reading corner, shelves of toys for your kids to pester you into buying and clothes so cute they’ll make you want to reproduce.

Nice coffee. I had a great wagyu cheese burger with horseradish mayo on a brioche bun and roasted potatoes. My wife wasn’t impressed with the lentil burger: it was a bit dry and the relish ordinary. As I’m the one rating and, on top of the great burger and good coffee, they had a great chocolate cupcake and nice freshly squeezed juices, they’re getting a 4. ;)

My wife and I go to chicken and fish head quite often with our daughter. Their coffee is great and the skim milk they use is good too. They have a great kids menu and books and pencils for kids to entertain themselves with. They also carry a great range of kids clothes(although a tad pricey)

Went to this café a couple of days ago with friends. Noisy happy place. Was told the name of shop is what the old owners used to call each other? Not sure if this is true. I ordered a cappuccino and banana bread. Banana bread was nice & butter served w/room temp so it spread. Friend ordered a mixed fruit breakfast parfait that looked yummy, she ate it all! Other friend ordered tea. They serve T2 loose tea and if you are a tea drinker this will make you happy. Very nice. As mentioned by other reviewer, there is a spot in the front for the kids to draw under the window keeping them busy while their folks chat. The front window always has cloths hanging from a cloths line. The first time I went into this café it was baby cloths hanging this time it had about a size 6 and all bright colours. Neat idea. If you have small children or need a gift for one, at the back of the café they have a childrens shop with some very nice things. It is a bit pricey, but hey, this is Beecroft. This is a real local kind of place. A local young girl even had a sign up offering Ukulele lessons to children. We did enjoy our morning here.

Walking up from Beecroft station this was the first café that stuck out. And I really mean stuck out. You’ll know this café by the fish kites hanging down from the doorway. As a parent I noticed a few things straight away. This place is focused on mum’s with kids. The kids menu is nearly as long as the regular menu. They also have a mini bench with mini chairs for mini people(at said bench are pots of pencils that seem to have coloured a great proportion of the wall). The coffee here was great. A little over espressed(and thus a little burnt and bitter), but seriously just a tad(don’t forget, I really am a picky bastard). I don’t recall having drunk Di Gabriel coffee before, but it was enjoyable. Getting back to the primary focus of this café, mums with kids, I am sure they would be happy this café uses a range of loose leaf T2 tea. And for the kids, the babychinos expressly come with marshmellows(which more cafes should really do! Some places charge $ 2 for a small glass of milk!!). Everyone coming in seems to be on a first name basis with Scott, who does a great job on the old espresso machine. The café has the same laid back feel Scott brings, with a backing track of smooth jazz.
