I have been driving past this place for years and finally got to try it. Located on Toorak road, it can be difficult to get a carpark here but today was my lucky day. As soon as I opened the car door, I could SMELLTHEGOODIES. It smelled sweet and fresh and I wanted to dive into the shop front however remained calm and composed and slowly opened the door to find that there is no indoor seating so take away only folks! Of course going to a place called Le Croissant I had to try… wait for it… a croissant. Ended up getting 2 plain, 1 chocolate and even an apple slice! For the smell and price, the croissant was a bit of a disappointment. Yes it was flaky but it was not as buttery or sweet as I dreamed. Perhaps this is what an authentic one is suppose to taste like. The chocolate one was great once heated up and same goes for the apple slice. Overall, the apple slice was my favourite and the place seems to have many regulars but for the price I don’t think I’ll be getting the croissant again. Perhaps a pie and cake next time for a picnic.

I am a bit surprise that this place isn’t on UrbanSpoon. So I added this place in. I hope I didn’t double up, or mis-spell the name. Surely this place has been here for a number of years. And everytime I drove by, I will pick up their Vanila Slice. Understanding that Melbourne does offers heaps of nice sweet places, therefore, I am sure Le Croissant Patrisserie would be one of it. Can’t really comment on the texture and the taste, as I could be bias on the whole experience! I will highly recommend everyone to try this place, and let me know how they think about it. There aren’t that many traditional sweet & pastry places left in Melbourne
