The Car Park café seems to always have customers –especially in the morning. This is another all-rounder that spreads its menu over a couple of different cuisines and judging by the steady trade they do, it seems to work perfectly. I’ve been a couple of times and have to say that the experience isn’t fantastic. Its good — the food is fine, the service is okay and the atmosphere is so-so. The coffee is actually pretty good — much better than I though it would be and I was impressed by the low prices(normally in Camberwell you’ll pay a lot just for a sandwich). At the Carpark café you would be hard pressed to find menu items that are close to $ 20. The food has modern European and Australian flavours with a lot of focaccias and enormous breakfasts. The café backs onto the parking lot behind the shops in Camberwell so there isn’t much to look at, but it is perfect for refueling before heading off to go shopping, or getting in your car and going home.
