On a sunny day, I didn’t wait very long and was greeted here with a smile. The service was quick. I ordered the quesadilla with just chicken and cheese. Not only was it hot and gooey as a quesadilla should be, but it filled me up just the right amount. Small dips into the mild salsa topped off this delicious and filling quesadilla. I was satisfied with the service and quality of food. It’s in a good location in Byron Bay. I could see then expanding into a more restaurant style eatery.

Well that was disappointing… I tried the Cheese Quesadilla which was very average. The Fish Taco was okay for $ 4. If I decide to come back here it would just be to get the tacos which they advertise heavily on. Other than that there are definitely much better options in the area. The person behind the counter was not that friendly and somewhat aloof. After my first experience I will not be coming back here unless I’m going just for the fish tacos.

Welcome to flavour country, population: me. This is as good as local business gets. Little more than a beach shack, this joint is run by the hippy dip dipsters behind the Byron Bay Chilli Company, known nationally for their terrifyingly tasty range of mild-to-kick-ass-fiery chilli sauces. So, here’s the hot tip: get the vegetarian taco salad. I’m not a vege — far from it — but this thing just blows me away every time I eat it, and I’m not talking post-meal ring sting. Actually maybe I am, it depends if you get habanero sauce or not. Anyway, this bad boy is big, fresh and packed with goodness: baby greens, cabbage salad, coriander, feta, refried beans, special vinaigrette, jalapenos, and your choice of the aforementioned sauces. A must-do, go-to, crash-your-car-to-get anytime you’re within cooee of Byron.
