SparQling have a solid menu, plenty of options and well categorised. Service was good and the prices reasonable, though I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside if you want to have a conversation. Overall, the Caesar was fairly uninteresting, though it’s difficult to put flair into them without offending someone. My date’s pasta looked good but very rich. Both portions were substantial and this place will certainly fill you up(neither of us could finish) though for the money, I’d rather see more creativity in exchange for less volume.

Located on Burwood Road amongst the numerous new eateries just outside Westfield is a gem. We ordered two orders of Scotch fillet, one medium-rare and one rare as we were afraid that like many restaurants around they would over cook the meat. The scotch fillets were true to order so I may just order medium-rare next time for perfection. The fillets come with a side of salad and on a bed of chips as can be seen in the photo. The portion for $ 29 is extremely generous and we even had left over for lunch the next day. The steak also comes with a side of sauce choice, I highly recommend the gravy rosemary, the diane sauce wasn’t bad either, although I thought diane was supposed to be peppery, which this one wasn’t. The garlic bread we ordered was also delicious, it’s like a flat panini bread, halved drenched in garlic butter, I would recommend this for garlic lovers. Service was really attentive and it was BYO as well, they even provided an ice bucket for our wine that we brought over ourselves. Verdict — Must try for a nicely cooked scotch fillet.
