The coffees here are usually consistently good. Staff are lovely. And how wrong can you go with all day breakfast in Brunswick? But a word of warning: there is a dedicated play area for children inside the café, so if you don’t like the idea of taking your luck having breakfast near screaming children then be wary. Good for families. A little pricey for what you get, especially considering its in a relatively competitive area(a block from Sydney Rd). Personally, I’d come here for coffee but I’m looking toward other places for an all day breakfast.

Slightly under the weather, I was not 100% certain that I was up for more than coffee as I slumped in my chair early on a Sunday morning for breakfast at Maxxii Moo. Yet the fresh and friendly staff and impressive breakfast menu soon had me thinking beyond a strong latte and wanting to sample the food. I chose the baked eggs with Neapolitan sauce and homemade mint and yoghurt dressing. The serving size was healthy in proportion and the eggs were baked to perfection. Firm whites with runny yolks, served in a cast iron pan and a side of well buttered crunchy toast. I was definitely impressed by the friendly local service at Maxxii Moo and, for those with a young family, note that this vibrant café is kid friendly too.
