Golden Pizza

I ordered a home delivered lasagne from them and it was an inch and a half of tasteless pasta layers.
There was a tomato sauce on the top with a little bit of cheese which was mediocre at best. But there seemed like there was maybe a teaspoon of bechemel at best in the entire pizza and sadly no meat at all that I could detect.
Now the place is a pizzeria so I will give them another go for that another time afterall the food was delivered within an hour. Although the shop is only a half block from my doorstep

Awesome pizza and pasta, lots of flavour, toppings, garlic. Perfectly cook with even great base. Wonderful service-​seriously friendly and committed. I’ve been eating there for years and I’ve never had a bad order. A must do.

My rule regarding stores, cafes etc claiming they have «the best» of something usually gets pushed to one side when they have something award winning. I’ll pull the car right over to grab me some of that winning stuff, whatever it may be. Golden Pizza were voted best pizza in the universe or something like that sometime between now and back when they opened, so naturally I had to give them a try, especially since they’re a close walk to home.
Being so close to home, I had to try out their home delivery first. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait, but 10 minutes later there was a knock on the door and two boxes of doughy goodness in my hands. I had a roast lamb with roast potato pizza and it was delicious! The bases are tasty and the toppings aren’t overwhelming, with just the right amount on there. Our other order was a vegetarian, which I didn’t get a chance to even try so it must have been good!
Our next Golden Pizza journey was a slightly drunker affair. We wandered through the door after a few too many drinks and after a nice little chat with the staff I decided to try something that I may have been hesitant to in a more sober state… spaghetti bolognese pizza. Oh my! It was delicious, with lovely homemade sauce and somehow it worked.
I’m glad to have this as our local pizza place and will definitely be ordering from them again.

They make their own pizza and pasta sauce! Tasty combinations and great service. I’m a regular here!

With a banner proclaiming themselves to be the makers of Australia’s best pizza I was always keen to give Golden Pizza a go and they didn’t disappoint.
Australia’s best? Contentious, but they are very good. I had a medium-​sized barbecue lamb pizza and while it was a little thin on toppings it was pretty delicious at the same time with liberal dosing of barbecue sauce and enough lamb. I hate it when they skimp on the meat!
It was Saturday night when I walked in off the street and the phone was ringing off the hook and people were coming in all the time — always a good sign. What’s more it only took 10 minutes from ordering for it to be made.
Staff were really friendly too. Well worth a try.
