I have been thinking about coming here for ages, they always post beautiful pictures of their food on Instagram. It was very busy and we didn’t book however probably only waited 10 – 15 minutes for a table. The man at who was greeting everyone was very lovely. I ordered the barramundi special and my sister ordered the pork burger special. The food did take quite a while to come out but the wait was definitely worth it. My Barra was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and the burger was delicious(I am not a burger fan but I would get this one!). We also enjoyed a strawberry milkshake which was tasty. They make all of their own syrups which give them great flavour. I would absolutely come here again but would book ahead if possible. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the garden atmosphere was wonderful.

The Wild Canary has a great menu, bit pricey but really delicious. The staff here are extremely lovely, friendly and helpful. My mum and i went here today for an early lunch, we were seated quickly and our food came out within 15 minutes. I got the pistachio, pear and chocolate cake. Really yummy except without the pear the cake would have been quite bland. Probably not worth the $ 9 but the presentation was beautiful. What adds to the character of this little café is that there is an onsite veggie patch, it gives you the opportunity to see how products grow(being attached to the nursery). I would definitely come back here!

When a friend invited us to come along to brunch one morning in her local area of Brookfield, We were really happy, especially when she mentioned it was at a place we’ve always wanted to try Wild Canary. Now we normally don’t get to drive over that way since we live closer to the city, but let us tell you now it is worth the drive! It’s a pretty popular place so we recommend that you ring up and book in advance just incase. When you first arrive, you are greeted by an array of plants & flowers as you walk through the award winning Brookfield Garden Centre. It puts a smile on your face & feel like you could just about buy everything! You are then led to the beautiful Wild Canary, nestled amongst the gorgeous plants, trees and flowers! It’s so beautiful and you instantly feel completely relaxed. The service was really good & efficient. Staff were friendly & took our orders with a smile. We couldn’t decided what to order at first because everything looked amazing. We ordered the(Upper Brookfield Avocado salsa, dark German Rye toast, 2 poached free range eggs, lime, watercress, macadamia dukkaka, lime oil $ 17) OMG! This was so delicious!!! We have to say, probably one of the best Poached eggs with avocado we’ve had. The german rye was still lovely & warm(almost like a warm cake!) & the combination of the macadamia dukkah, lime oil & avocado salsa was spot on! What made this special was that you could taste the freshness. Wild canary practices sustainable/biodynamic gardening; which is organic. When you eat at Wild Canary you are supporting local farmers & butchers, & they also use all the vegetables, fruit & herbs from their garden! Amazing! We were so pleased that they used one of our FAVOURITE coffees from All –Press Burleigh. A coffee you will never find bitter but hits the spot as it tastes delicious & is air roasted! So if you want to try something amazing, make a booking & head over to Wild Canary. They’re open 7 days a week for breakfast — lunch 8:30−4pm & are dog friendly(if on a leash). In the future, Wild Canary will also be doing functions including Weddings receptions

Wild Canary has all the ingredients to make you forget that you are eating at a garden centre café. They use ingredients grown on site and if the constant flow of customers as we dined is anything to go by — they’re doing something right. Our party of four arrived right on the cusp of the changeover between breakfast and lunch. We’d not made a reservation as our brunch adventures to Brookfield were rather ad hoc. If you take anything away from this review then let it be to make a reservation. We were thankfully seated quite quickly in the only table left without a «reserved» sign upon it. Even then, there was the definite feeling it was a table waiting for a party yet to arrive. As we had arrived in the changeover to lunch, service was a little distracted at first. The breakfast menu we’d viewed online was no longer an option but the specials our waitress told us about sang to us more than the standard café menu available for lunch. The special of pulled pork tacos with a corn and avocado salsa made it to our table for two of us(myself included), along with a seafood linguine and the Rueben. The tacos were grand. Three well sized corn tortillas stacked with meat, salsa and salad. Worth every penny. While I didn’t try their coffee I did see a few AllPress take-away cups leaving with customers. And the best bit? Shopping in the nursery next door after you’ve had your lunch!

I’m surprised it has taken so long for something like this to appear in the area. The demographics are perfect for it: nestled behind a nursery in the leafy suburb of Brookfield, this place is ideal for that lazy breakfast, brunch or lunch. This is a place designed to make you feel good about life. Every step through the nursery and past the kitchen gardens takes you closer to nature and authentic food. Every bite makes you feel justified about resolutions to eating healthier. Every service from the attentive staff makes you feel proud to be supporting the local economy. It is not just great food, but the experience that makes this palace special. When it is over, don’t just drive back into your world(whether that be down the road or across town), but feel nourished to take some of the goodness you’ve experienced back.
