HANK says it is ‘fun and modern australian dining’. I’d have to agree. We tried to get a preferred booking time of 7.30pm yet it wasn’t possible as they were fully booked out at that time. a function was booked. So we opted for 6.00pm despite it being a little early, because of that we received attentive service, we were basically the only couple there. The staff were all informative and helpful, offering advice on menu items and the wine list. The service was good not simply because we were the only ones there. The waiters didn’t suffocate us, they responded when we made eye contact. Their timing was perfect. The food was stunning and exceptionally rich, we made it through 4 share plates between the two of us, all beautifully plated and one side of Duck fat roasted potatoes(I love carbs and this side was a little bit of heaven). We made sure we left room for sweets… Sticky date pudding and the Chocolate fondant, again I couldn’t fault it nor did I share my Sticky date pudding with my husband though I did steal a taste of his fondant. I’m not giving a full 5 stars because I want to delay it until I experience HANK when they are busy. Thats my test of an establishment, how they cope under pressure yet i’m sure they do fine.
