Noodle haus — sunshine plaza maroochydore Finally!!! A yumcha/chinese that is open all the time, and on the sunshine coast. The food is great and you can have yum cha or traditional. Open when everything else is shut or not open yet. Didn’t like the salt and pepper squid(tough) but doesn’t matter as everything else was lovely and have been three times now and have always got a seat fairly quickly. When busy food trolleys are going around — but you can order off menu(which I love) and get exactly what yum cha goodies you like — hot and fresh. The only thing is it is a pain having to go to sunshine plaza when you don’t want to go to the shops — especially since a lot of the parks closest to river walk are reserved for seniors, disabled or other and the parking is not great at sunshine plaza during busy times. However, if you can park up with poor parking — it is worth it. The other yum chas are good too — have tried Carindale and Surfers — great formula. They deserve to do well. Good on them.

For a place in the Myer food court, this place is really not bad! The selection is good with a variety of meat(duck, shrimp, chicken) with your choice of noodle soup or rice. There’s also congee if you’re in the mood for porridge. The yum cha selection is also ample. For me, I tend to go for some of the lesser eaten stuff like beef tripe and tofu skin rolls. The fact that they actually serve such dishes in a fairly western dominated environment shows that there’s likely actually some demand for their more traditionally Chinese items. The flavors are as you would expect in a fast food type Chinese restaurant. The clear soup is a tad salty but not overwhelming and but the respective meats are tender and substantial. The yum cha isn’t anything to write home about but it does the trick when you’ve got that hankering for some solid trolley fare. Overall the food is filling and relatively inexpensive. Couple that with fast service and polite cashiers led me to give it a very strong 3 stars.

Not bad at all. Good selections of Chinese dishes and dim sims. Staff are friendly and offered some tasters. The food arrived quickly, and the quality of food was certainly not bad for food court.

Pretty much everything about this place is terrible; Incompetent front counter chick, clear plastic containers for the food, Luke-warm squid served. The prices are below average but so is the standard of food. If you want to be served by some half-wit who barely speaks English and rolls her eyes at you when you say you don’t want to be up-sold for rice, then this place is right down your alley. Pro-tip for fellow Unilocalers: If you see the word ‘Haus’ in the name of a business that isn’t German, do a 180 and get the hell out of there!

Actually not bad and quite a few choices ! I had the custard bun and sticky rice — tastewise it is what you would find in a typical yum cha place in sunnybank. Definitely much better than the Beijing house dim sum in the city — but this is just part of a food court so not so appropriate if you are looking for a traditional yum change setting with trolleys and large tables and continuous teapot refills etc;
