At last, I found the time to venture into this magical shop and what a blessing it was. This unique shop caters to both genders. No recriminations or ‘funny looks’ when a guy purchases make-up or decides to buy a skirt that is actually made to fit men for they are different and this place caters for the lack of a bigger hip. then the shoes, which are available for men, when they wish to dress just like their partner and what man does not wish to wear ‘heels’ and feel fabulous. Everyone, from my experience, is not only welcome here, that are totally taken care of by oh so friendly staff and thanked for their visit. A true friendly environment it is.

Wow, this place is intense! It’s pretty cool though. I’m not particularly goth-inclined, but stumbled across Underworld Realm by accident one day and went in just out of interest. There’s a lot of black in here. A lot of leather, too. They have some interesting jewellery(some involving large spikes) and also alternative magazines, music, and books. I really like their range of huge, chunky shoes. I love looking at some of those shoes goth’s wear as they trudge through the mall in the scorching heat, and now I know where they shop. Even if you’re not a goth, there are some nice clothes in here. I once bought the most beautiful pure silk black skirt and people compliment me on it all the time and ask me where I got it. I feel pretty hardcore when I get to say ‘I got it at Underworld Realm’ because even if they haven’t heard of it, it sounds impressive, no? Don’t walk past Underworld Realm without looking inside just because you’re not a full-on goth. If you go inside you’re likely to find something unusual and make it your own, or maybe you’ll come out with a new appreciation of goth culture and even a desire to join it.

Underworld Realm is the home of alternative fashion in Brisbane city. Both male and female clothing — obscure art and clothing, accessories, jewellery, boots and shoes, housewares, as well as book, magazines, posters, videos, CD’s and collectables. Lots of funky knick knacks, and imported boots and t-shirts. Apparently it’s aimed more at industrial goths and not so much at the Romantic Goth types. A large range of Alchemy Gothic jewellery and Stargazer make up too. Because a lot of the products are imported, it’s not the cheapest, but Layby is available.
