LR– Love roll. And given the opportunity I swear city workers and I would literally roll in this sushi. So delicious and so cheap. I work in South Brisbane and will walk all the way to the city in my 30 minute lunch to get my hands on three of these delicious fresh rolls. This place is usually really busy at lunchtime. I try to head there around midday or after 1pm to miss the thick of it. Still, even when super busy you can line up behind 30 others and still have your three rolls sushi for under $ 7 in 10 minutes. Ask for mayonnaise and it will be given free of charge. Other condiments are also free at the payment counter. Those short on time and/or short on money this place is a BIG winner.

LR sushi is a bustling sushi take away in the heart of the law court precinct. They have an outstanding range, from vegetarian to the calorie unconscious Karage roll. Excellently priced at between $ 2 for the simple offerings and $ 3 for the prawn, they beat their competitors. Not only do they offer affordable sushi, their product is delicious. My only negative is that their wasabi is fake. Real wasabi simply doesn’t exist at this price point.

This is my go-to place for a cheap and fresh lunch. I always get the same rolls because LR Sushi just makes them so consistently! I recommend the Salmon + Avocado and the Seaweed Rolls. At $ 2.30 each it’s very tough to say anything bad about this place.

As far as Sushi goes this is 5 Star! Consistent high quality and a wide variety. You can see the staff making the rolls to keep up with demand so you know that it is always fresh and the kitchen is clean. Rolls are between $ 2.30 and $ 2.50 each while mayo and all other condiments are complimentary.

LR Sushi is perhaps the best quick sushi place in the City. The rolls are fresh, tasty and with lots of variety. The honey pork, californian roll and spicey karagge are all divine. There is a reason there are massive lines for both this store and the one near Queens Plaza. Great lunchtime option.

LR Sushi rolls are a standard part of my diet when lunching in the city. They have a wide range of rolls starting at around $ 2 each. Each roll is approx 10 cm long, the typical type of roll that you get at any food-court sushi place around Brisbane. The rolls are always super fresh, very tasty, and super cheap(2 –3 rolls can make a cheap lunch at $ 4-$ 6) The staff are always super friendly, and always willing to cut your sushi rolls into 4 bite sized pieces. Japanse mayo is provided on request free-of-charge. All other condiments(Wasabi substitute, pickled ginger and soy sauce) are also available free-of charge. The lines at this sushi place start getting long(30 – 50 deep) from about midday onwards, so be willing to wait 10−15mins for your sushi fix at these times, or do as I do and head over at about 11:30 where you can walk straight up and order. During busy times, the 400 on George food court can also get pretty packed, and getting seats for a group may also be an issue. All in all, quality rolls for a great price and exceptional service make LR sushi at 400 on George an absolute must for lunching up the Roma St end of the city.

This is a really good sushi option, particularly if you’re running late for uni at QUT(which for some reason was always me). There is a great range, it’s all pretty fresh and it’s really well priced. It’s also quite tucked away so it’s not quite as popular as the other LR sushi outlet. Pop in for something healthy than a burger when you’re off to study hard — I always rationalised it as brain food(I need that extra salmon roll OK??)
