This place is a frequent lunch spot for me as my office is near. It is usually packed at lunch time. They do a fair range of food but I have found a bit of a delay on it. The coffee is usually fast though. Even so, I am in and out of there within ½ an hour so that is really excellent for a business lunch, just not when I’m starving! They use the eCoffeeCard system which I absolutely love. I would really love more cafes in town to get on this app. There are 3 areas of seating — the intimate inside which sports the lovely high and antique ceiling, the shady side strip, away from the foot traffic(my fav) and right on the footpath which is barricaded off. For a small space like they’ve got, they have made the most of it. The staff are great and it shows with the regulars they get. I’d recommend this place for workers, mainly because of the hours they keep and the menu limitations. The food are solid basics — sandwiches, soups, salads. It’s not interesting or trendy and they don’t aim to be. But it is probably them focusing on a core group of customers that has meant they’ve been around for years.
