Loosely translating to ‘a warm ambient place’ in Arabic, Hamimi is a fresh take on Moroccan living, capturing its exotic culture and honouring traditional handmade craftsmanship.
Hamimi is the brainchild of a brother-sister act, Alex and Rebecca Wilford, with Alex based in Brisbane while his artist sister is based in Marrakech, Morocco overseeing their designs and the skilled artisans who bring them to life.
The Hamimi collection showcases Alex and Rebecca’s designs amid a mix of handpicked pieces encompassing furniture, lighting, homewares, vintage tribal rugs, accessories, jewellery, artefacts and artworks (some by Rebecca). Hamimi aims to share an authentic taste of modern Moroccan living.
In an age of mass production, we focus on hand crafting objects using traditional methods with a contemporary sensibility. Our team of Moroccan artisans are at the centre of Hamimi; they give life to our vision. Every piece is invested with human touch; made by hand with heart.
