First — let’s all agree that a discount bazaar is the best type of bazaar. And with that on the table… Second — I just moved, and as with every move, there’s a bit of required shopping for things I never had in the first place or items somehow sacrificed to the moving gods. Long story short, I needed an air mattress, a silverware tray, a picture frame, a bamboo mat, a white erase marker and a piece of plastic fruit(don’t ask). I found them all here. All of them. At a steal of a price. Isn’t it refreshing when a name so accurately reflects a business?(I’m looking at you, Forever 21.) Discount Bazaar is truly a bazaar of discount. Party on.

I have a large spot in my heart for variety or junk shops. Everything is so random and so cheap! Discount Bazaar in Bondi on Hall Street is that catch-all shop that will probably have what you need. Especially if what you need is a snorkel mask, Christmas card, boomerang, 3-pack of glue sticks, Jesus candle, pancake flipper, or lollies leftover from 1983. Discount Bazaar is a great place to stop if you need gag gifts that are Australia related and you don’t want to spend that much money on them. If you’re going to a dress-up or theme party, they have leftover Halloween costumes(or maybe they’re stocked all year ’round?), including your typical scary masks and coconut shell bikini top. They also have water guns, which is a pretty major win.

This is the store you go to if you forgot your thongs on the way to the beach and need to pick up a quick pair, or perhaps you have a hot date coming to yours and you need to pick up some mood setters ASAP so you grab some candles and incense. Discount Bazaar is a cluttered store full of cheap goodness. All the odd bits and pieces you need, you’ll probably find here. On Australia day this year I decided I wanted some temporary Australia flag tattoos, a hat and a towel. Where did I go? Discount Bazaar, of course! This place is heaven sent. Full of cheap and practical things like pens, sunglasses and pegs for your clothesline. Anything you need on the run, you’ll find here. It’s so darn nifty!
