Get ready for a lineup. It’s direct access to the street means finding it easily and lots of people know it’s good coffee. Went in here when I saw it had a reasonable rating — besides a predilection for beards, service is faultless with friendly people despite the busy-ness of the place. And, of course, great coffee.

Luke warm weak coffee. Tasted like warm milk… I asked for extra strong… Waste of $ 5… People serving were really nice though…

A smile goes a long way… a smile along with a «hi! How are you» and a great cup of coffee goes ALL the way! I’ve never ordered coffee from Luxe without some kind of nice interaction with the staff and leaving with a really yummy brew. If I’ve stayed to eat in, food has been fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. It gets pretty busy here(because they’re so reliably good!), so be prepared for a little wait. I like that despite the line and the fact they’re busy, I’ve never felt like I’m being rushed or that anyone is too busy to make it a nice café experience. In terms of ambiance, there’s probably a bit to be desired… but they’ve done a great job with the space they have and it’s definitely a great addition to the Westfield complex!

I don’t think I’ve seen so many people at a café in a shopping centre EVER. Luxe Espresso seems to be the place to be and be seen in Bondi Westfield. They have long communal tables in the middle of the shopping centre which everybody gets close, a small seating area inside and a little courtyard out the back. It was a crowded Saturday morning. There seemed to be no real sense of table service, which I was happy to line up and order, but after waiting forever and getting to the front of the line, it felt a bit annoying to then be told that I could pay later. Maybe on a crazy Saturday provide a little more direction there. Anyway, I ordered a breakfast bruschetta which was a tad disappointing. Half my 1 piece of bread was missing due to the way it had been baked so my eggs didn’t soak into anything. There was also an overwhelming amount of pesto and 2 quarters of a tomato. Not quite what I know as bruschetta. I get the bread bakes like this, but maybe give a second piece of bread in that situation. The coffee was decent though so the saving grace of an underwhelming experience. I hope it was just a rough day, it has the potential to be a gem if they made a couple of changes to help the masses.

A little coffee paradise hidden in the midst of the junction — this fabulous coffee house makes a great cuppa. Its always packed and you’re guaranteed to bump into someone you know there(if you live in the East that is). You can sit inside, outside(in summer) or on a giant share table in the middle of the centre — may I suggest avoiding the main table if you want some private catch up time. Besides excellent coffee, they also have food and other treats… may I recommend the breakfast wrap, which is a delicious breakky sandwich made egg, spinach, cheese and pesto — let me tell you it is so so so so so good! Yum(mouth begins to water as I think about it)… All their cakes/cupcakes are delicious and whilst its prices are slightly pricey — what you’ll get is excellent quality in return. Enjoy!

Luxe Espresso has had its’ little ground floor possie in Westfield Bondi Juction for ever, and as one of the better places to get a coffee round those parts is always a packed, buzzing little coffee shop. Not only do they brew a mean coffee at Luxe but they sell fresh loaves of organic sourdough and have a great range of delightful little mini-cakes and pastries. Someone in the kitchen is into creative cupcakery, with the likes of lemon polenta balls and ricotta cupcakes on offer alongside more traditional fare like brownies and carrot cake. They’ve expanded to some«outdoor»(well, inside the mall outdoor) seating so can fit around 40 people here now, and often do. And they have love hearts in their logo which makes me happy.

Luxe Espresso made a pretty ballsy move opening up next door to Newtown’s long-established Campos Coffee. Luckily, their delicious house-baked pastries and breads filled the local gap for a café worth going back to. My experiences with the sit-down menu meals here have been a bit hit-and-miss — on one occasion, a ‘white bean crostini’ was an under-seasoned, bland mush smeared across a rock-hard slice of sourdough; on another, a ‘tomato salad with ricotta’ an expensive yet too-small bowl of the underripe fruit with merely a coin-sized dollop of cheese atop. Best to stick to their awesome selection of ready made sandwiches — the smoked wagyu beef on sourdough with pickles, horseradish, Dijon mustard and gruyère is a definite winner — and baked sweets, like the velvety lemon curd tart or super moist flourless chocolate cake. Students from the nearby Sydeny Uni can often be found settled in with a laptop on the communal benches(that includes me), but there’s usually a mixed crowd popping for their house brand coffee bean blend and lunch to go, too.

In a land where mums with baby strollers rule the show, second only to tween fashionistas, Luxe is a good place to pit stop, refuel, and get some quality people watching in. You can find Luxe at the Westfield Shopping Center in Bondi Junction off Oxford Street. They are stationed both on level three in the food court and also on ground level as you walk into the shopping center near Steve Madden. I prefer the aforementioned location because you can tuck away at a small private table and stay out of foot traffic. And if you so choose, you can escape to the tiny back patio and enjoy your flat white in peace. Luxe hand makes their own sourdough bread(seemingly somewhere else, as this particular storefront is the size of a postage stamp), and various other pastries including decadent carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and mini chocolate cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles for the kiddies. Come here more than twice and Rich, the man in charge, will likely have your order filled away in his brain– ready for your next visit. And when that next visit occurs, make sure you order their chicken and avocado sandwich. It might make you feel like you can’t eat again until Thursday, but in the most delicious possible way.

Nestled in the middle of the Westfield shopping centre, just on the corner of the Oxford St bus road, you’ll find some refreshing coffee, with a quiet outdoor eating area. If you’re after a nice light sandwich, on warm sourdough, whether it’s for a meeting, or a quiet book reading, if you don’t mind the swarm of children, in prams, and mums with slight attitude, then this is your semi-quiet haven. I always stick to the back area, as its a bit quieter, and you don’t feel like you’re on show. However, if you prefer that people are watching you, and want to show off that new purchase, then you can sit on the long white runway style table, which is situated in the middle of the shopping centre walkway.
