Leah’s Wax Works

Everyone who works here is a complete trashbag. Worst customer service ever. I booked an apt 2 days ahead and when I showed up the nasty girl at the desk said that the person who does threading couldn’t take the apt cause her neck hurt. She was then like ‘you can try talking to her’!!! Like what was I supposed to say? She kept going on with that suggestion saying, ‘i’ve tried talking to her lots but you can try’. Totally ridiculous. They could have at least called to cancel, or offered a free service in return. Stay away from this gross, terrible place.

This was my first time having a Brazilian wax, after much skepticism and deciding I was through with shaving. I believe I would’ve stuck to this decision, had I not come to Leah’s for my first time.
I chose Leah’s because I had heard great things and it was relatively inexpensive, as far as Brazilian waxes go.
I turned up to the salon without pre-​booking an appointment, however there was no wait time and they fit me right in. The woman who did my wax didn’t ask me many questions or deal in small talk, and it was done very quickly — under 15 minutes I believe.
At first, I was thrilled with this and put my clothes back on, paid, and went home.
However, when I got home I realised how poor the waxing job really was. It was not thorough at all; there were stray hairs everywhere, and the beautician had completely missed several areas. The area was very red and irritated, and there was a small amount of bleeding. I ended up having to shave over the top to remove all left over hairs, completely diminishing the reason I had chosen a Brazilian wax.
Overall, I was very disappointed with this experience. Although it is cheap and quick, the results definitely reflect this and come out looking poor. This experience has made me question whether visiting another salon is worth my dream of a hairless, smooth Brazilian. I would not recommend Leah’s.

Pill em in a get them out as quickly as possible. Not a very thorough job job on my waxing. Very disappointing.

I kinda felt like I was on a human assembly line at Leah’s Wax Works Bondi Junction. Without doubt the fastest wax appointment I’ve ever had — I think it took less than 10min — but it was also the cheapest. There are no niceties here and no regard for the word painless… they just rip it all out (sorry for the graphics!) Ouch!
Actually when I walked out I think my body was still in shock haha. But you know what, I actually prefer this… better than paying $ 30 more for extra chit chat :)
