Nice atmosphere, although when we went today there was a group of screaming 12 year olds there for a birthday party. This Caffè Primo is the best one I have been to. The food is always cooked to perfection and there is always heaps of it on the plate/bowl(which is bad for me cause I have a tiny stomach) a nice place for a family birthday dinner. Price ranges from $ 12 for specials to around $ 30 – 40 for mixed grill and steak.

Brought my starving troops here over the weekend and sinced it was a scorching summer, we were pleased to find the AC on max speed and a huge cooler machine near us. Excellent menu choice but I noticed a large spread of veal dishes on the menu. I’ve been on a cattle farm before and being a huge animal lover, I literally hugged a calf and almost belt it up in my back seat… So, I said no to veal and jumped straight in for the Florence Pollo dish. Grilled chicken breast drenched in pureed tomatoes and mushroom. It was fairly good and the kids seemed to enjoy their fish and chips. If you’re a fan of milkshakes, they make good ones here, I have photos to prove it! Good meal, lovely ambience, helpful and friendly staff but two stars down for salty garlic bread and pricey menu.

Yeah, it’s ok for a quick meal and for larger groups if you’re stuck for somewhere to go or the budget doesn’t stretch but I have experienced better elsewhere. Pizza and pasta is the most appropriate fair as it struggles to keep up any flavour for anything else. During lunch you get a plate of pizza style garlic bread as an entrée and after dinner a complimentary pancake is brought out at the end of your meal but, this one was rubbery! The complimentary dishes are standard across all Caffe Primo’s. The place is cold! No ambiance or warmth whatsoever and parking out the front is competitive, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. I was so looking forward to receiving the same service and food as my beloved Welland location but alas it was not to be.
