Spice Shack

Its slim pickings out here. The Bayswater industrial area is dominated by seedy lunch bars and delis. Spice Shack is a beacon of flavorsome light, shining through all the shitty lunch options.
Serving home-​style Sri Lankan cooking, they have a small, hot buffet of meat and veg curries, with specials that rotate regularly. On last visit they had a Roast Pepper Chicken recipe — tasty!
The curries are dancing with flavor and not to mention great value. One meat and any mix of vegetable curry is $ 10.50 and with two meat it’s only $ 12.50. It’s also great to try some spicy food that’s a little different from your usual Indian and Thai.
Spice Shack also bottle, box and sell homemade relishes, spice mix and curry sauces; allowing you to bring the original Sri Lankan flavour to your home kitchen.
I discovered recently they put on a monthly traditional Sri Lankan breakfast; very different form your usual bacon and eggs, I cant wait to try it!
