Fresh and tasty grilled fish and chips. They consistently nail the grilled fish, chips and salad. They offer fried fish, but never had it. This is a solid local take away fish and chip shop.

I had a really disappointing experience about a year ago. Return on Friday night and was so impressed. Lovely lemon pepper fish, generous portion of crunchy chips. The only negative is that it’s cash only. There are Bendigo, Commonwealth and Bankwest ATMs all in walking distance though.

I have this weird thing about not trusting fish and chip shops that aren’t close to the coast but you know what? Grilled proved me wrong. These guys don’t just do good, reasonably priced fish & chips, they have a whole range of flavours and batters, and a plethora of other deep fried goodness to choose from (tempura mushrooms, anyone?).
I had a fish and chips dinner with cajun spiced batter when I went there. The batter could have been a little spicier, but it was crunchy and the fish was moist. I was also super-​impressed with the side salad! It wasn’t a garnish or an afterthought, it was a lovely, large, fresh garden salad!

Don’t let the name fool you, these guys do a mean battered fish. My husband always orders the battered fish and I order the grilled fish for the kids and I, and I always always, have fish envy, it has almost become the house hold argument that happens in our house. When I order, my husband says «just order the battered fish» I say no I prefer it grilled and then spend our whole dinner time trying to pinch his battered fish.
We have been caught out (no pun intended) a few times when trying to order from here as they seem to be closed allot, so check out the times before you go. The food is good, it is a nice clean, wholesome chippy, I reckon its OK to eat at least once a week.

This is my go to place for fish and chips. I love that they have 4 different types of fish you can select for your fish order. Select from hake, snapper, barramundi or the catch of the day. The fish ranges from $ 7 to $ 9.50, depending on what type you select. I also love that you can get it fried or grilled, and you can pick a topping like chilies, lemon or garlic. Everything that they fry is fried in cottonseed oil, which is a healthier type of oil option. In addition to fish and chips they also have salt and pepper white bait, calamari, king prawns, chili mussels, salads, family meal combos, battered mushrooms and feta, and burgers… but who would want burgers with all of the seafood options? Unfortunately they are only open for lunch on Wednesdays, but you can catch them open for dinner 6 days a week.
