A fairly new, but a quaint little Vietnamese restaurant in Bankstown. The menu is limited because they specialize in only a few dishes. Luckily, two of the dishes happened to be favorites of my wife and I; banh xeo and banh cuon tay ho. My dish, the banh xeo took a while to come out. But it was a massive dish. I reckon it was probably about 40 cm in diameter so be prepared to be stuffed. The banh xeo came with a side of leafy greens and fish sauce for dipping or pouring over depending on your preference. The good; the batter was very light and crispy, just the way I like it. The bad; I felt it lacked«stuffing»; the meat and shrimp were very minimal. But given the size and batter, I would still recommend it. The banh cuon tay ho that my wife had looked a bit sad. The rolled up rice paper w meat was very slim and the portions of Vietnamese ham that they gave her amounted to 2 half slices of each(or just merely two slices of each ham). It was also missing any sign of prawn cakes which is a must with this dish. There was a bit of lettuce and bean sprouts on the side with a side of fish and chili sauce. Very poor execution of this dish. We’ll go back to try their other specialties. Hopefully the others are more like the banh xeo and less like the banh cuon tay ho.
