A nice breaky with lovely service, a great way to start the day. Everybody was satisfied with their meals which arrived promptly and were delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends.

I recently took a small group to Kahveh Café one Sunday morning before the markets. The food was fine but it was freezing cold sitting outside even though there was a heater above us. The people in my table enjoyed the food but unfortunately we would never return in winter as it was too cold.

Kahhhhhhveeehhhh — that’s about how I’d say it when I’m dragging myself out of bed and waiting for someone to mainline some caffeine into me. And that’s exactly what I was feeling after a long, early morning drive up to Avoca. We came here on a public holiday and the place was buzzing. Unfortunately, the staff weren’t, with a 20 minute wait after ordering to get coffees and another 20 before the food arrived. Sure it was a public holiday and the other main café on the street was only offering its takeaway menu, but surely you’d have the foresight to get extra staff if you’re going to open, regardless of the penalty rates. Luckily the coffee was decent, the beer battered fish and chips deliciously crunchy and fresh, and the Hash Stack was amazing by virtue of having has browns in it, but I’m not sure it was quite worth the wait.

I came back for the great coffee and food after a previous good experience a year ago. I love Unilocal after having using it in the states for years. So here I am about to deliver my first Australian Unilocal on the dot site. Whilst I’m setting up this page to do the wonderful review I’d planned, the waitress arrives to tell me they’re out Benedict… 10.15am Sunday morning. This time my extra shot latte is milky… both of them. I’m still waiting for my order that was placed 25 minutes ago so I have time to Unilocal. Ok it’s prime breakfast time that’s cool, and I’m happy to change to an omelette. about 40 mins after the order The banana pancakes arrive and are undercooked with doughy centres, after 3 mouthfulls it feel like your licking the bowl… they were sent back. The smoked salmon omelette was quiet good but realistically I went for the coffee. Very disappointing, no apology nor offer to replace the pancake meal but i did get the opportunity to pay for it… $ 45 later… I won’t be back.
