Had breakfast there today, bacon and eggs plus a capicino. All good including the whole grain bread. Was’nt hungry again until 3 p.m., eighteen holes later, finished breakfast at 8:30. Service was good, served promptly as well. A hearty, healthy meal! Will return!

Great food with organic menu, at a great location. Always nice driving up for breakfast and the beach on the weekend. Will usually have breakfast at Nourished and the food is always fresh, healthy and good. The coffee’s not bad and the service is good. We had the fritters with a really nice advocado salsa, the pittwater, and banana bread… all of which we would rate highly. They also have really nice fresh coconut water, which come literally comes fresh in a the coconut. Definitely a great place for breakfast.

Another new addition to Avalon and the cafes opening up in the Northern beaches. The difference with this café is that it is the healthier choice. So smoothies and fruit. The smoothies here are really good. They have different styles, from milk based to protein based. I had a mango and soy milk smoothie and it was really refreshing on a hot day at the beach. To be honest, the best part of this place is the smoothies. So even if you are not hungry, it is worth dropping buy for one. Breakfast/brunch here is good, but not great — Coffee brothers in Mona Vale is better. They have a large breakfast menu, and extra specials on the day. The coffee here is up there for Avalon Beach — again not as good as Coffee brothers, but if you don’t want to drive to Mona Vale then this is a good stop off. On weekends this place is busy, meaning that you could be waiting awhile for your order. We ordered two smoothies to go, and waited for a good 15 min. Saying that, if you have the time it is worth the wait.

As vegetarians, we were surprised by all the different options. However, the vegan burger was quite bland and dry, the nasi goreng was overpowered by the egg and very salty and the nachos weren’t seasoned well. That being said, the service and atmosphere was great, especially on a summers day– sit in the courtyard. The juices and shakes are on point.

Only had a smoothie and a muffin– but both were delectable. Had the stress relief smoothie which had blueberries, bananas, soy and honey and was super tasty. All the food looked and smelt great. I’m waiting for an excuse to come back here and try everything else.

A local suggested this spot. We were there before 8 so that gave it an immediate edge over the later openers in the area. The menu had some variety. Was thinking about the fritters but opted for the pancakes. Quite enjoyed them although I could only eat 2 of the 4 that were served with yoghurt and blueberries. The 3 orders came out in 3 distinct times… almost as one person finished their breakfast the next meal was served. I’m not a great fan of that. A busy café which is obviously a regular spot for early morning beach walkers and other insomniacs like me.

Interesting atmosphere… busy, fast, healthy and full of energy. This place is buzzing with beachcombers ready to have breakfast or that shot of coffee. The big breakfast is very tasty, the baked beans are quite spicy.

Why does this place have to be past the bends!!! The I don’t want to drive farther up the beaches bends are the only thing that keep me from eating here daily, and that’s just my own stubbornness. This place is great! I love the healthy dishes that come in hearty servings that they are pumping out and the fact that they do take away. So many choices and they cater to nearly every dietary need with heaps of vegan, low carb, low fat, high protein and gluten free options. My favorite is the kale Waldorf salad I can’t seem to go past it but I am never disappointed when I do branch out. My only complaint is I’m not a fan of their coffees, despite the lovely foam art I just can’t get on board there. If you go on the weekend be prepared for a big crowd and remember that there is lovely courtyard seating around the side.

As a vegan it’s always a pleasant surprise to go out somewhere to find the menu to suit dietary restrictions. At nourished, the menu is labelled to suit all dietary requirements and the staff are more than happy to triple check any qualms you might have. The food is healthy, unique and delicious, definitely recommend to anyone gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, or anyone just looking for a delicious breakfast/lunch!

I headed all the way to Avalon for some furniture shopping and to get out of the rain this weekend. At first I was a little disappointed by the somewhat generic and overpriced cafes in town and then we spotted Nourished. I am a huge fan of organic, ethical eating and these people even have liquid chlorophyl. How cool is that? I ordered the spinach and ricotta tart which was covered in sweet potatoes and has a nice side salad. Nice, as in, I could have eaten twice as much. So good. My husband was impressed by the falafel. He is a tough critic and ate the whole thing. Remember, they don’t use a ton of salt and its mostly gluten free so stay way if you want that overwhelming caloric experience. But if you want healthy food with a bit of flair, come on in.

Pretty decent coffees but if you love your tastebuds don’t go for the wraps. Tasteless, dry and difficult to eat! I totally understand healthy food options and believe when prepared well, can be tasty and satisfying. This left a horrible memory of health foods!
