Ascot Water Playground is truly a pace that the adults can enjoy as much(if not more) than the kids! Situated on the south side of Swan river this little gem has prevoisuly been closed down and only recently re-opened– much to the delight of myself and my friends with children in the«know” — The building itself is relatively old and unimpressive but cast no judgement for inside its’ slightly dilapidated concrete walls lies an abundance of fun fun FUN! I’m talking rolling hills covered with grass and canturf(with putt putt capabilities) leading down to a toddlers playground and yet again to a larger playground with a slide and swings. Amidst the grass and playgrounds are the main attraction(s!) From a modest selection of water spouts to a shallow splash pool right up to the main kiddies pool(you’d be surprised how much fun can be had in only .7m of water!!!) There are brightly coloured shade cloths above most of the pools and play grounds(the larger pool has a few trees but limited shade) so exercise a bit of sun smarts and there is nothing else to worry about. The kiosk is equipped with all of your confectionary and snack food requirements– I splashed, danced and paddled up a storm all for the economic price of $ 3!!!(less for children and free for bubs under 2.) So I say pack some snacks, bring your towel and set up for the day–
