Trying to find a Café open on a Monday is tricky. Luckily after a quick search on Unilocal,I found this place was open. Gorgeous location and loads of parking. There were many tables outside under the tree and umbrellas as well as a few inside and down a little alley way. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a cappuccino and a raspberry & chic brownie. I had barely taken my seat when my coffee arrived. Not bitter at all and instead of chocolate powder on the top of a cappuccino it had chocolate flakes, great touch. While drinking my coffee a server came and asked if i would like some water and received a glass and bottle of water from the fridge. Great service. Even though most takes were taken and it was very busy, service was efficient and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I will be coming back again.

We ordered separately about 5 minutes apart and my friends meal who ordered after me came out way earlier than my meal — the one egg on the potato cake was cooked to perfection with a runny yolk Centre although the salmon was on the stingy side with one small slice but it was really delicious and the asparagus was cooked to perfection while the potato cake was really flavorsome. My friend has finished her meal and mine has finally come out– my first bite in the quesadilla there was a chicken bone in it… It lacked flavour and well I think I should have got my meal from the breakfast menu :(The hot chocolate was so chocolatey and delicious. The takeaway Anzac biscuit was my favourite of the day, so simple but so tasty.

Had a brownie, an iced coffee and a green juice for a short break on a hot day. They were all good. Great location, easy parking, nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

The service was friendly and very quick! We had our food within 10 minutes of ordering, and it was relatively busy! The food was presented gorgeously and was quite good! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good brunch place, and the atmosphere is very nice despite being situated next to small businesses. Very little to complain about! Be prepared to possibly wait to sit down as there aren’t any reservations.

Stopped by for a quick drink and some cakes with some friends. Banana smoothie was awesome and the coffee wasn’t bad either. They had a decent variety of cakes too. What was disappointing was the service. Although they closed at 3.30pm the staff was rudely trying to clear our table(at 2.30pm) even though we still had unfinished cake. Asking if they were closing soon, this was just ignored. Oh well, guess we’re not coming here again.

Great food & coffee! We went for brunch and it was a perfect spot to catch up with some friends. It does get crowded(and there’s no reservations), so you might have to wait a bit for a free table, but totally worth it :)

We came here for a Saturday brunch and ordered a florentine eggs on toast and a baked beans with eggs on toast. The food was ok — pretty average for what it is. Would I go back there again? Probably unlikely unless I have other convincing reviews

A cute little café in Applecross worth visiting for coffee and cake or brunch. It’s always busy so get down early if you want to sit outside in the shade of the jacaranda’s and enjoy a long lazy lunch. The Eggs Benedict is on point, I’ve never had an over cooked egg at this spot. The coffee is good, nothing special. The menu is your usual breakfast fare with a few different bits and pieces to try. I’m also a mass fan of the Bircher. Mmm.

Somebody else wrote t hat it exceeded their expectations and thats what happened to me also! The big breakfast was cooked and served to perfection, the coffee was great, and the staff very friendly. I have often bought take away coffees from here and will definately be back to this local gem to try more of their menu :)

This place exceeded my expectations! It’s a small café in the beautiful tree lined applecross village, the interior and seating in the side alley reminds me of Melbourne which is a big plus. Our table ordered two eggs benedict’s — one with salmon, one with ham and a poached egg’s with prosciutto and asparagus on 7 seeded bread. All of our food was exceptional! I thought this place would be more a coffee and cake place but it was by far one of the best breakfast’s I’ve had! I love me a strong iced latte and my god this hit the spot! i had to refrain myself from ordering two. Beware though it can be hard to get a table on the weekends as they don’t do bookings, you have to be ready to run and nab one before someone else does. This may not be suitable for big groups going to get coffee and cake or breakfast. I can’t wait to come back!

Cioccalato is a cute little café on the Ardross Road strip. It’s quite small inside but they have plenty of tables outside forming a lovely alfresco area under the jacarandas and also down the side of the building. The service is always friendly and FAST! I’ve placed an order for coffee and it’s literally been delivered to my table seconds after taking a seat. The menu is fresh and they serve the breakfast menu until 1pm all days. Serving sizes are generous too and well priced. This is one café I’ll definitely keep coming back to.

Just got back from coffee with a friend here and yeah, I’d recommend it if you’re in the Applecross area. Don’t go out of your way to find it though. The frills aren’t jaw-droppingly amazing and the eats and drinks, well they’re good, but not THAT good. The fact that I had an iced green tea(with honey) and shared a lemon slice with my friend might have had something to do with the tone of our experience. I did see some awesome-looking muffins there and the menu items were all fairly standard so if you’re after a no-fuss café, you may well be a fan.
