If you’re looking for a coffee on the move or sitting down to take it easy, the coffee here is fantastic! Food ranges from café danishes and cakes to sandwiches and burgers(?). Coffee service is very fast and polite. Food had a slight wait.

We moved into the area a couple of weeks ago and have been exploring the area. We had coffee and brunch here the other day and boy am I glad that we tried this place! The coffee is excellent, service is friendly and efficient and the food we had was fantastic. I had the bacon and poached egg bap which was delicious and my partner had the mushrooms on toast which he enjoyed. The atmosphere is light and airy while still in keeping with the industrial feel of the whole Fountain block.

The coffee here is excellent, and very consistent. They take their business seriously, and it shows in the product they put out. Plus, the staff here are well trained and do a great job of keeping things moving when it gets packed on the weekends. If you are in the neighborhood, this is worth a visit.

I don’t quite get the 3.5 stars for Don Campos Alexandria. I have ordered a few hundred coffees there and they have always been excellent. Their pain au chocolat is as good as any I had in France and will be even better as soon as their bakery opens next door in a month or two. Great coffee, prompt service even when the line is out the door on the weekends, and tasty snacks. Highly recommended.

So happy they’ve opened up in my neighbourhood. Been coming pretty much since day one and the coffee is always good and often sensational. Try the single origin of the week on the Slayer — the baristas will recommend the optimum way to enjoy it, whether it be a heart starting double ristretto, pour over, cold drip or with milk. That’s the beauty of this place — your coffee horizons WILL be expanded.

It really depends on what I’m reviewing and comparing this to. I really didn’t come here expecting anything less than 5star coffee, after all this is a campos café. Great selection of single orgin espressos and sweet cold drip. Unfortunately thats it for the upside. I just paid $ 6 for a muffin, had to line up twice in separate spots for my coffee and food plus had to carry it all back to my table with a baby in my arm Why does it have to be so hard? Could have been so much better!!!

A quick visit to the Campos flagship in Alexandria reminds you — smack in the face — THIS is what coffee is meant to taste like. Smooth, elegantly flavoursome, not even a hint of bitterness, absolutely does not need sugar. YES. This coffee outlet is in the strange«up and coming» warehouse space on Fountain Street. It has indoor and outdoor seating, it’s VERY popular, and as a result has somewhat harried staff. There is plenty of sunlight, and somewhat peculiar sharing-but-not arrangement with the next door café, Bread & Circus.(Bread & Circus doesn’t serve coffee because they’re next to coffee kings Campos, but if you sit on the Bread & Circus side, you get your Campos coffee in a disposable cup, which feels pointlessly unsustainable — surely the café owners could just give them back their ceramic cups? Anyway, small gripe, no biggie.)

Coffee is excellent. Perhaps not quite as good as their newtown café though, but still the best around.

I had to go to a warehouse in Alexandria. I was running a wee bit late & desperately in need of caffeine and if food was in the equation, even better. I was on the right street so i just got the cab to dump me outside a caffeine dealer. There was a rather unseemly(ie long, not unattractive!) queue for coffees but when you need a hit you need a hit. After I placed my order my wild staring eyes calmed down a bit and were able to focus more on my environs. Lovely, spacious, clean… and with a gazillion people milling around some sort of clothing rack… oh wait! That is actually where I’m meant to be! So given that the commercial I was working on was being filmed in the empty warehouse space out the back and that there were around 60 people working on it, I imagine that the queue is usually more… seemly. Anyway my coffee, and the one I got later was great. They DID also supply food of the eating kind so I bought a smoked salmon mini-roll for around $ 5. When I got on set it turned out my lovely friend had brought me some breakfast so I didn’t eat my roll til around 4 hours later– and it still tasted fresh and delicious. Staff were obliging and lovely and of fair trade, organic Don Campos, I am a fan.
