Weird lay out on 2 different levels, focusing on self serve which is not as easy when you have a bit of a load. next time I need groceries I’m heading back to Coles.

Amazing beauty shop in downstairs, bright space, all kind of body care stock, make up, and good price!

I love and hate the Woolworth’s in the city. Location is fantastic, you can run in and grab a few things in the city without having to resort to the 100% mark up at convenience stores. BUT it is not that quick if you are going at peak time. and it can be frustrating if you need to go down the escalator, because you are stuck behind the leisurely shoppers and the elderly both up and down the escalator(WHY do they have to shop at lunch when they have all day to amble aimlessly round the shops, and take up the whole escalator, move to the left people everyone knows it’s a rule). So one star lost for that. I don’t like feeling trapped like I do at IKEA. A bonus, there is a liquor store in/next to the supermarket. Which is especially good as the dockets you get from Woolies will often give you a special booze deal for liqourland. So in summary, head in get your items, but at peak times do so at your own risk if you are even half as impatient as me.

I like Woolworths normally but a store right in the middle of the mall seems a little stupid to me. I would shop here if I were a vistior to the city and only really went places in the city or didn’t have a car. But it’s really not practicable for me to try and do family shopping in a store in this location. It’s too far to walk to a taxi stand or car park with heaps of shopping and you would have to go here last. By then you would probably already have enough to carry from all the oher shops. As I said, I love Woolworths and do my shopping at a Woollies most of the time but would never use this location and cannot see others using to do normal weekly shopping. Even if I lived in the city I would go to a shop with easier access in one of the surrounding suburbs. It is good for picking up just the«extra’s» you may need in between shops if you are in the city as it still has a full range.

15/12/2011 Photos First to Review I carried a green recycling bag for two boxes of tissues. No really. I did.(My brother spent less than $ 10.) There isn’t that much in Woolworths that we need, but it still makes us happy to pay a quick visit every once in a while after work. Everything you need in a grocery store is here. I just wish it was as big as the Wal-Mart I saw in Texas. Depending on what you need, you can spend anywhere from $ 10 to $ 120 as you exit the store. By the way, I scored a brand new computer desk lamp for only $ 19.95! Where else can you buy such a thing for a low price? That’s half the price of the lamps that rip you off at other places! I needed one desperately for my long hours of Unilocaling in front of the computer because the old lamp that served me for 15+ years finally ran out of globe life. If you hunt properly, you can actually find some great grabs for less than $ 5! They’re always doing low-price promotions here! I love it! I don’t usually carry much cash, but that’s okay! There are plenty of those swiping machines for you to use now, when you’ve collected all your items. Yay! God bless the staff in green for helping everyone out when they’re stuck on the swiping machines, as we walk out. God bless this new invention for supermarkets! I wonder if any other non-grocery stores will take this concept on? So I walked out with new boxes of tissues for my hayfever in less than 5 minutes. In and out. If only I had more cash for groceries, I’d actually love this store because they are the number one most profitable supermarket business in Adelaide, and none of their competitors come close to the amount of profits«Woolies» make every year. And I must commend the staff in their green uniform, thank you for the friendly chat when I needed to decide which orange juice to buy, and the difference between the Aussie juices and the imported juices. However, this depends where you are exactly. If you’re shopping on the upper level(there are only two levels), then you have a very slim chance of being helped in the aisles(no-one’s there!), and that’s not right because that’s where customers need the most help = finding things! Nevertheless, I ALWAYS find myself drifting back and forth inside here everytime I’m in Rundle Mall. I confess, I’m a certified Woolworths regular.
