First coffee shop I stumbled into while visiting Adelaide for work and I guess I got lucky! Although I didn’t get a chance to try their selection of food(looked really good!) had a great soy cappuccino and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere while getting some work done. And yes — plenty of plugs available if you need juice. Staff were SUPER friendly and accommodating — helped me get connected to wifi when I mentioned I was visiting for the first time(thanks again!) Next time I’m in Adelaide(hopefully warmer months) I’ll take advantage of the outdoor courtyard area.

Just situated adjacent to the north terrace tram bus stop and UniSA City West campus, this cozy café provides such a welcoming vibe. Modern setting in such a historic-looking building! I’ve tried most of their dishes here, and choosing either a sweet or savory meal, you can’t go wrong! Their muffins are their best seller but I have a soft spot for their foccacias! And did I mention they had macarons?! I have never stumbled across an Earl Grey flavored macaron until I came here. Customer service is superb, and probably is one of the major reasons why I come here so often. I highly recommend you to stop by before or after class for a cup of coffee and a hot meal.

A room? only for Espressos? What are you crazy Adelaide? A fantastic coffee shop, perfect for the Uni crowd and even for the skaters. Cozy place for a fine brew to wake you up for a full morning of doing monotonous things. Although the focus is the coffee(little bit on the expensive side), don’t go past the sandwiches and the baked goods.

Situated among UniSA City West Campus, this place is old, heritage listed and really feels as though you are sitting in an antic style house. I love its style and disposition! The service here is really nice and relaxed to the point that the coffee guy will come to your table with your hot chocolate, stir it for you and wait until you take your first sip just to make sure you like it. Now if that isn’t top notch service, then I don’t know what is. It’s really cool actually. Recommended!

The title implies the confidence this establishment possesses and deserves. The simplicity is daring and proud. We are ‘The Espresso Room’. If you happen to attend UniSA’s West Campus, you may as well take this review as if it gives a five-star rating. I’m a Flinders kid, but a friend of mine who attends UniSA introduced me to the place and I’ve since made excuses to pay him a visit just so we can head down to The Espresso Room. The staff is so concerned with service almost to the point of being obsessive. I’ve had an eye poking over my shoulder on more than one occasion to make sure I’m satisfied with my coffee. This sounds obtrusive, but it’s really not. It’s funny, even charming, more than anything else; as if you’re dining at a chef’s house and he feeds you with the highest hopes you’ll love the offerings. The rating deduction is mainly for the location. I find it rather hard to get up there. They’ve really directed themselves toward the student demographic, and it’s not often we students get a place of such class and respectability.

Nestled between the large buildings of UniSA’s City West campus, is a 2 storey heritage listed house, now home to a coffee shop and café. The Espresso Room is in a fantastic location and traffic will only build during and when the new RAH is built across the road. At the moment, they are tapping into the uni student market, diverging from the usual lunchtime menus of students, hot chips and a Farmers Union iced coffee. The Espresso Room offers exquisite coffee, but I think their real specialty is their hot chocolate! Made with real Belgian chocolate beads it is silky, rich and oh so warming on a cold day of learning. Their food is expanding, with devilishly good chocolate cakes, brownies, macarons and biscuits to savoury items like gourmet foccacias, quiches and exotic salads. As it was originally an old house, the dining is split up into rooms, hence the name. But it allows for a cosy feel and large groups can congregate without annoying others! There is an outside courtyard area and outdoor seating along the footpath under umbrellas. 1 thing to remember, parking in the city isn’t the easiest. It’s not too bad here, you just need to bring small change for the meter!
