When in the city, deciding you need a coffee break, then visit. Please Say Please in Grenfell St Adelaide, could be your answer. I have stopped by on a number of occasions, and always been satisfied. It is the quality of the coffee that keeps drawing me back. Proud Mary coffee, just makes me say«YES» when ever I taste it. There is a light menu available, but every thing is fresh and delicious, all at reasonable prices. Beanhunter have listed this Café #1 in Adelaide. Top Café 2015. I can only recommend.

Please… Say Please! «Please!» «Huh?» … The lady at the counter didn’t get my joke… All is fair(trade) in love and war, this place is trendy — but not like wanky trendy, I feel like I can have my coffee and sandwich, not wear spectacles and a waist coat, and not get seedy looks. If you like words like«organic» and«homegrown» then get ready, cause this place is basically pornography for you guys — personally as long as it tastes good I’m not too fussed if it’s from the Barossa or Brazil(unless it contains zica virus). Offering three awesome toasted sandwich’s two of which are vego and then often a fourth that changes daily; Their ham and cheese is killer trust me The coffee here is great, they have specialty coffee as well which is a fun novelty although I’m not sure about drinking out of a beaker. A little on the pricey side and only two size options for a simple old takeaway latte — remember they’re trendy, it wouldn’t be trendy if things were easy.

I only grabbed a quick coffee here before I checked out from my hotel and rushed about my day; however it was exactly what I needed. They appeared to be use Proud Mary which is a roaster I know and trust, and make a strong yet smooth coffee; what more could I ask for at 3 minutes past opening.

This little gem is situated right in the heart of the city, prime piece of real estate for all the commenters in and out of Adelaide on public transport. Please say please has a very pop-up coffee stall feel to it, small on the inside, and from my short time spent enjoying a coffee, busy too. The Proud Mary beans used are sourced from Victoria, and have a very flavoursome taste. The baristas who made the coffees only did Proud Mary justice. The Baristas are clearly enthusiast because the coffee is near perfection! No need for sugar or sweetener and drinkable straight away! All the things I look forward to in a decent coffee. The only downside to please say please is the«dine in» size. There is one little 6 – 8 seater table and a couple of bar stools. But for the real estate they have, they’ve done very well!!!

There isn’t a whole lot to say about PSP. The service is so quick that you are in and out before you can really soak up too much of the atmosphere. Coffee is good but it seems really expensive($ 5 for a large iced long black) and even more so because the cup feels so tiny, it doesn’t even feel like its regualr in size, let alone large. Or maybe that’s just me?

We’re approaching the summer and that means that some days you’ll just need an iced caffeine hit. Enter Please Say Please’s 16 hour Cold Brew Coffee. $ 3.50 for small take-away, $ 5 for a large. Honestly, it is delightful. The flavour of the Proud Mary coffee is highlighted in such a delicious and fun way: there’s no need for sweeteners or milk in my opinion. I haven’t ordered my standard choice of a flat white from this café as I’m too enamoured with the cold brew but judging from the venue’s popularity all the coffee is hitting the mark. They have a large selection of sweets that look very pretty(not gluten free so I can admire the look only) This café is efficient, prices are reasonable, and the quality of profit great. Then, as someone who loves good manners I can only admire the name!

Best coffe i have had in a long time, and brilliant Macaroons and pastry. Definitely a place to get coffee or meet a friend. A little small but adds to the charm. I had a cherry danish which was delicious, the cherry was nice and tart, pastry was well made. Also a Macaroon one of if not the best i have ever had. The coffee had a wonderful taste to it, and was different which makes such a nice change. Having a Mocha it had enough sweetness to counter the bitterness of the coffee a wonderful mix. Price was not bad either. It is very well priced for the quality of products.

I confess I’m partial to a hipster café … there, I’ve said it! And when I spy the magical Bonsoy box, well I know I’m onto a winner! This place isn’t new, but I have just started working in the city again, so I have some catching up to do ;) I found the staff very friendly and quick, and the coffee was fantastic. The large size didn’t seem overly large, but that could have been because the cup is tall and skinny ;) I tried the amazing salt and chocolate cookie — wowsers! Highly dangerous ;) Very impressed — and has become my go-to lately for a Friday pick-me-up!

I met fellow Unilocalist Bridie W here for a coffee and as if we were going to pass up the 4 for $ 10 deal on hot cross bun macarons, which were amazing. I don’t like to generalise but there really is no other word; the exposed brick wall, the communal reclaimed wood table, the filament lighting, the bearded baristas — this is textbook hipster territory. I don’t consider this a bad thing though and as long as the coffee is good(which it was) neither should you. It really is a hole in the wall so seating is limited to stools at the one aforementioned communal table and a small bar which naturally I don’t like but on this day/time it was tolerable. Self serve water was in easy reach and the standout highlight was playing the Presidents of the United States of America’s 1995 self-titled album in its entirety. Yes we stayed that long, what of it? I did indeed say please but I say that everywhere because that’s how I roll.

I’m a bit worried that in my hurry to order a cold drip coffee I might not have said please. I mean, I certainly would have included some kind of polite pleasantry but maybe I said«I’ll have a cold drip thanks» or «I’d love a cold drip» and not the magic p word. It was hot. I’d had a long day of meetings and I needed caffeine badly, so can you blame me for strictly not following the rules? Regardless my cold drip Honduras was bloody good. Served in a little glass hip-flask bottle with a perfectly square icecube in a glass on the side, I was mighty impressed. The coffee comes from Proud Mary and here they have brewed it perfectly to create a delicious syrupy coffee that doesn’t need sugar or milk. Please Say Please itself is tiny and quite noisy, as it’s right in front of the bus stop on a very busy road. A quiet place to sit and read, this place isn’t. But for a quick drink-and-go coffee then it’s a great option for coffee snobs who find themselves in the CBD.

I can’t stay away from this place. Tried the iced coffee today, was a bit expensive but the brew is so good that I’m not upset :)

A cosy small Café serving up ethical coffee and a small selection of food. Today it was just a coffee for me, It was a nice brew but not my favourite bean flavour. I must say though some of the sandwich options sound utterly delicious.

From the carefully crafted signage, to the expertly poured brews, Please Say Please is a pleasant little hole in the wall coffee bar. With a central table to allow you to get cozy with fellow ‘Please-rs’ you can watch the hectic commute pass by. These guys really know their coffee and do an excellent long black as well as milk based coffees. They serve a small selection of breakfast foods, centering on artisan toasts and specials like Bircher muesli. The pastries are excellent and include the delightful Tanzanian cookie which contains slabs of dark chocolate offset by flakes of sea salt. The new cronut flavours change weekly and are always exciting riffs on popular childhood classics. Definitely try a coffee here, watching the commute pass you by — and remember to say Please!

I was slightly hesitant when I wandered into this small but cosy coffee spot in the heart of the CBD. Please Say Please has the perfect location for people looking for a quick coffee whilst rushing off to their daily activities. If you wanted to sit down there is very limited options. There was one small wooden bench that fitted 6 people at best and a few bar stools surrounding the coffee machine. I didn’t really understand the atmosphere that they are attempting to create. It comes off as fairly relaxed and fun with a certain warehouse design. However the staff failed to convey this as at all through their apparent lack of personality. It wouldn’t have killed them to smile or at least acknowledge me. The coffee is fantastic and served promptly. It would appear that each week they also offer new bean blends. This may be enough for me to return. However if they put out some outside seating options or threw in a «how is your day going» I wouldn’t have to weigh up wether to return or not.

Coffee was a bit strong for my taste but still good — where it went wrong was the lack if communication and fun factor!!! The guy barely spoke or acknowledged us — I know we are not the hip young set, but we are still happy to spend our money there if we feel it is serving good coffee AND it’s fun and interesting.

Maybe I’m not saying please enough times, or remembering my p’s & q’s but I have to be honest, this place just doesn’t float my boat. Don’t get me wrong, this is the one coffee shop smack bang in the middle of the CBD that sells bloody good coffee with Bonsoy. There are new bean blends and origins on the menu each week, it sells quirky macarons(think hot cross buns and ANZAC Day specials) and it rocks the warehouse chique atmosphere to a tee. There is a huge BUT though. While the service is quick, it has no personality or concern for the fact that you are more than a soy latte or a pour over or a piccolatte drinker. I think they can sense my anti-hipster and as a result avoid making eye contact or engaging in a smile and a conversation. There lacks a vibe, a mabo, a feel to this place that comes with a buzzing staff who make an effort to know your name, have a chat with you while waiting for coffee and greet you with a smile. But if you’re happy enough to join the line of suits waiting for their cuppa joe and ingrained on who just posted a new pic of their cat on Instagram(guilty) then this is the place for you.

PSP is my coffee hole-in-the-wall of choice in Adelaide. I went when they first opened and did $ 1 coffees and I have been hooked since. The coffee here is consistently excellent quality, and is made with care and expertise. The staff are always friendly and polite– as the name suggests! The name of this store is adorable and almost makes me feel nostalgic to my mother nagging me to use my manners. I am glad she did and I am glad a store serving something which is a staple to making the word please a staple too! Also the macarons here are delicious– treat yourself to one!

Only a small place, but obviously focused on high quality product. Coffee was great, and the pastries looked amazing. One medium sized table for people to chill at, and watch the do their thing. Was a very personable and fun atmosphere. They’re surrounded by a number of other great coffee joints, so they’re going to have to be damn good and compete on charm and product quality, but i reckon they’ve got what it takes.
